Chapter 10: James's first year at Alfea

Teachers room

"Remember what I've taught you James, concentrate. Think about what it is that you want to change into, let your mind be your guide" said Wizgiz.

James was sitting with her legs crossed, meditating and concentrating. Trying to change herself into a boy again. Headmistress Faragonda was there too, she had wanted to see this for herself.

James was then surrounded by a yellow light and it was intense. Soon it started to dim down and in the middle of it was at last, a very MALE James. Thankfully he was wearing his ITE uniform thanks to Faragonda otherwise it would be really embarrassing.

"Yes, I'm a guy again" said James.

"True James, you may have been successful but unfortunately your girl side is still with you and this is only a temporary cure. There's something else as well, upon further examination of your transformation it seems you can still change if you want to" said Faragonda.

"Want to?" asked James.

"From what I can tell, if your will is strong...you can switch between your forms. So like I said it's a temporary cure unless you prefer being a girl for good" said Faragonda jokingly.

She then demonstrates by having James concentrate hard, it was difficult but soon James was back into his girl form again and after another hard concentration she reverted back to normal. It would take a while but things would be easier for her.

"Well that would be problematic, concentrating requires time so it's not good if I have to engage in battles that are fast as it would already be over by the time I can attack. Also its stressful for my brain but hopefully as time goes on, my control over it improves" said James.

"Yes, that would be problematic but at least you have some control over what it is you wish to turn into. Me and the other heads of red fountain and cloud tower will continue to try and develop an antidote for you, until then you'll just have to live with it" said Faragonda.

"Well, it could have been worse. I could have even turned into an animal for all I know so I am glad at least I'm still human....well a magical human, you know what I mean. If I am going to be a girl" said James as he concentrated hard again.

"At least like master Saladin said, I'm really good looking" said James.

"Yes, yes you are" said Faragonda amusingly.

Soon everyone went to bed, Faragonda had given James accommodations with the winx so that they could help her with any "girl problems". She also wanted to keep James's identity a secret but she felt she could entrust the other students with this secret, so she decided that during the opening ceremony speech she will announce James as a new first year student and then reveal his secret. She could only wonder what the students would think of it.

Next day/ Alfea courtyard

"Welcome, professors and students, old and new to Alfea college for fairies. I am your headmistress, Faragonda. I am happy to see some new faces as well as some returning fairies here at our campus. We've been through many trials and tribulations but we have proved ourselves time and time again that we will never go down without a fight and Alfea will still go on to ensure it produces true fairies to suppress the darkness" said Faragonda.

The students all cheered at this loudly, Faragonda waited until the students have settled down before continuing her announcement.

"Furthermore, it is my greatest pleasure to introduce a special guest who will be staying at alfea, we've kept him well hidden so all of you were unaware of this fact" said Faragonda.
