Chapter 55: The royal family's secret

Its been three days since James disappeared with the ancestral witches back to their home world. The dragon tournament was cancelled due to the devastation caused by Mandragora and all the schools have now been put on high alert. Naturally James's disappearance had an impact on the overall mood and atmosphere of citizens all over Magix, especially the winx. Everyone was worried, wondering if James was alright. The winx's graduation ceremony was today but they didn't feel like taking part in it. It wasn't right, they were missing a member and a friend. One they had grown to admire, appreciate and respect. They wanted James present during their graduation but it was now impossible and they didn't like it. The allies James brought to Magix returned to their own worlds, promising to do everything in their power to locate James's position as soon as possible.

Dorm room

"It's just not right, the whole team isn't here" said Stella.

"I know what you mean, I never thought I would miss him as much as this. We've really been with him long enough to get along and know each other better" said Flora.

"More than that, he became one of us. He even stepped up to guide us when Bloom isn't available" said Tecna.

"And no one misses him more than Bloom" said Aisha.

They all turned to see Bloom, lying face up on her bed in the room she and Flora shared together. She was just staring at the celling and not doing anything else. Soon the rest of the winx got up and walked towards Bloom.

"We'll get him back Bloom, you'll see" said Flora as she sat next to Bloom.

Bloom soon sat up and looked at Flora. It was at that moment her feelings came out and tears escaped her eyes. All Flora could do was hug the poor girl but she also had a tear in her eye.

"I.....I should have been there with him. I know it wasn't Usagi's fault but......I.....I've already lost my parents and Daphne. I don't want to lose him too" cried Bloom.

The rest of the winx also felt they should have been there but......there was nothing they could do about it now. If that wasn't bad enough, Bloom learnt from Hagen that he had tried for years to sense King Oritel's sword but he didn't have much luck in doing so. As such, her parents and James's location remained a mystery. Soon Griselda entered the room, she too missed James but there was work to be done.

"It's time" said Griselda gently.

The girls nodded and they soon proceeded outside......for their graduation ceremony. They knew it had to be done but.....it didn't felt right to them.

Obsidian

Monsters, ghouls and Mandragora's bugs stood in attention as the ancestral witches had an announcement to make.

"Attention minions, our 'son' is currently in isolation with Tharma to help ease and calm down his nerves. But when John emerges, he is to be shown every courtesy. And the first one who addresses him as prince James, will immediately be silenced" said Belladona.

"Belladona, is it wise to have the prince of Domino, current or former, full access of this world?" asked Lysslis.

"Remember sister, nothing happens in this world without our knowledge. The minions here are aware of this fact, lest they suffer the consequences. But there is no need for concern, it seems John does not possess the same fight James is so renowned for" said Belladona.

"Then what use is he to our cause?" asked Lysslis.

"Oh rest assured, John will definitely earn his stripes" said Belladona.

In a separate room, James was sitting on a bed talking with Tharma's image.

"So the only thing you remember is that you're from Domino?" asked Tharma.
