Chapter 14

Jason did indeed have sweat pants that actually fit me somewhat. They were still a tad baggy but they would do for my purpose. I also found an old t shirt of his that was buried in his closet. It would be wayy to small on my muscular mate, but it fit me perfectly. And since I didn't have a bra that fit me, I just pulled one of his hoodies over my head and called it good.y

I slipped on my sneakers, glad my mom had bought them a bit big. They were now too small, but I could deal with it until I could buy new ones.

I pulled my long, wavy hair into a ponytail and went down stairs looking for Conrad. Since I hadn't really met many of the girls here, I didn't really have anyone to take with me. Plus, I didn't want to upset Jason by going to the mall alone.

"Connnraddd where aree youuu?" I said in a sing song voice as I went down the stairs.

"I'm right here princess!" Conrad called out. I followed his voice into the living room. He was sitting there watching tv and he glanced up when I approached, but did a double take.

His eyes went up and down my body in surprise. "E-Eliza?" he asked.

"Hi Conrad." I said softly. He got up and stood in front of me. His hand reached out and stroked my cheek gently, his eyes never leaving mine.

After a second, he realized what was happening and dropped his hand. "Shit, that was weird." he shook his head and cleared his throat. "So, uh what'd you need me for?"

"I wanted you to go shopping with me since uh my clothes you know, don't fit." I blushed a little and chewed on my bottom lip.

"Yeah sure, of course. But what exactly happened?" he asked, grabbing something off the entertainment center.

"My wolf told me I became the Luna i would need to be."

I saw Conrad stiffen slightly but he seem to shake it off and turned to me.

"I'll protect you. With my life. Come on let's go tell Jason where we're going." he tugged on my hand and started walking into the kitchen. That was weird.

I followed him and saw Jason leaning against the counter, now talking to Conrad.

I smiled when I saw him and walked up to him. I took his hand in mine and looked up at him with bright eyes.

"Hi Jason. Conrad's taking me to the mall to go shopping." I told him. He glared at me and yanked his hand out of mine. I looked at him in shock and he shoved me away harshly, causing me to stumble back.

"Get away from me you slut. I have a mate." he grounded out. His eyes were swirling an angry sea blue. His wolf wasn't in control. Rejection started to go through me but stopped. He didn't recognize me.

I opened my mouth to explain, but Conrad started growling threateningly and pushed me behind him.

"Don't you dare speak to the Luna that way and never touch her like that again." he growled at Jason. Jason was about to retort, but his eyes landed in me and we locked eyes. Realization washes into his eyes and then guilt came.

"Shit. Baby I'm sorry. I-I didn't know. Jesus, what happened?" he asked, taking a step towards me. But Conrad snarled and Jason went back. I put a hand on his arm and felt him relax.

"It's okay Con, he didn't know. Calm down." I soothed. He growled softly and took me by the arm and pulled me out of the house. Jason didn't bother going after us, knowing Conrad's wolf was just trying to do his job, and protect me.

*I love you Eliza. We'll talk when you get back.* Jason told me through the mind link.

'Love you too.' I responded as I got into Conrad's sports car. I had a feeling this was going to be a long day...
