Chapter 26

"What d-do you m-mean?" I stuttered out, I raised my eyebrows.

"He's wasn't really your second mate, Elizabeth" Alpha Tom called out.

Jason took me in his arms once agian, comforting me when I was down.

I sobbed, not because Vincent was dead. Not because he tortured me, only because I was played.

"It's all my fault" I murmured, wiping away my tears.

"No, no it's not. You couldn't of done anything to stop it, you had no strength" he said.

"I could of tried, I-I just gave up" I mumbled.

"Stop blaming yourself. No one could of known" he rubbed my back, going in circles with the palm of his hand.

"I love you" he whispered quietly, a small smile appeared from the corner of my mouth.

"I love you too" I replied.

"Uh. We should be going hosting a pack meeting now. For the arrival of our Luna to be, it was nice to see you two agian" Alpha Thomas said, as he left the room, the Luna slowly behind.

"Uh, Jason. Can I ask you s-something?" I say, looking him in the eyes.

He nods slowly, raising his eyebrows up.

"Where is my father and mother?" I say.

Jason looks anxious, he starts to fiddle with his fingers.

"Uh. V-vincent killed them" he croaks out.

"That's why I killed V-vincent, he's dangerous. He can go into peoples bodies, he can act like them" he adds.

A tear falls from my eyes. How, how can he be taking every single little thing away from me?

"I don't even remember how they look l-like" I blurt out.

I bury my head on Jason's chest, letting my tears fall down.

"It's okay" Jason soothes, me. He starts to fiddle with my hair, comforting and relaxing me.

"Look, I think what's best for us. Is to just get away for a bit" he states.

"We don't have to if you don't wa-"

I cut him off, "I want to" I croak out.

"You su-"

I cut him off agian. "Yes!" I say, nodding my head repeatedly.

"Okay, okay. But not today, tomorrow okay" he states.

I nod slowly. "Okay, let's go to bed. You need a good night's rest after today" he says, picking me up.

"Put me down!" I kick, scream and fuss. Though, he refused.

Suddenly he put me down onto the bed, I didn't bother to change.

I hopped into bed, and cuddled up to Jason. He stroked my hair, making me nuzzle up closer.

"Goodnight"

Was the last thing I hear, before I drift of into a deep sleep..
