The Wait~Chapter Two~

~Next Weekend~

Kaylee's POV

Today is the day! Diana and I are going to be auditioning for America's Got Talent Season 8.

I know for a fact that Diana is going to make it but I've always been told that I wouldn't be talented enough. But I guess it's worth a shot and if I don't make it I'll be there to support Diana the whole way.

"You ready?" Diana asks as we are going through making sure that we have everything.

"I guess.... just pretty.. nervous I guess." I told my best friend

"Nah! don't be. You'll do amazing! I promise!! " She said hugging me

"Well .. Guess we should hit the road huh?" Mom said rushing us along

"Come on girls!! Let's go get you two famous!" Dad yelled getting into the drivers seat

-At the Venue-

We get in line to register, paperwork in hand and everything.

We stand in line for awhile talking with other hopefuls when finally we get up to the registration table.

"Name and age please?" The lady sitting down who looks like she hated her job asks while getting a number sticker for me

"Kaylee Styles and I'm 14" She looks up my name after i give her my paperwork and lets me through

"Name and Age please?" She asks once again but for Diana this time

"Diana Halpert and 16"Diana gets her number and we go into the holding room. waiting for our numbers to be called.

We sit down in an area that is fairly empty so we can practice and maybe get the nerves out a bit

"I'm so nervous Diana... you don't understand.. You're use to this stuff... I've never done anything like this..." I say shakily

"Kaylee... You are going to do amazing. If they don't let you through they are deaf.. I promise you that." She says rubbing my back

after about 30 minutes a family of 4 comes over.

"Is it alright if we sit over here with you all?" A women , I'm guessing the mom asks all of us

"Yeah, absolutely! Make yourself comfortable" Mom says

"Thank you " They all settle down

"So who's auditioning of you all?" Dad asks them

"That would be me." The oldest of the two younger boys says whilst raising his hand

"Oh what's your act?" Mom asks. I look over at Diana who is listening intently

"I do magic.." He holds up a pack of cards

"Oh!!! Show us something!" Diana sits up in her chair. I roll my eyes. She always has a thing for magicians

"Alright well, well pick a card " He fans out the cards

Diana picks out a card and shows it to me and it's the 3 of diamonds

"Alright now put it back here in the middle" Diana puts it straight in the middle

"Okay now with a quick snap of my fingers your card has resurfaced to the top" He snaps his fingers and flips the top card over

"Was this your card? " He shows the queen of hearts

"No... it wasn't..." Diana says disappointed

"Oh well lets see lemme just rip this up" He rips up the queen of hearts into four pieces

"Now hold onto these pieces and make a fist around them" Diana does as she's told

"Now what was your actual card?" He asks turning the cards over

"The 3 of Diamonds" He finds the card in the deck and pulls it out

" Well you see i can get that card in your hands to melt through the top of your hand and up to mine... you'll see the moment it happens " He waves the card over her hand and it quickly changes to the queen of hearts

"Woah" Diana looks at him stunned

"Wait that's not it look at the card in your hand" He taps Diana's hand

she opens it up and the card is still torn up and she flips it over and it's the 3 of diamonds

"Okay How on Earth did you do that?" she freaks out examining the cards

"One more part, Close your hand back around that card and you put your hand on top of hers, How about everyone just pile their hands on top of hers?" Everyone including myself puts our hands on top of Diana's

"Now you will suddenly feel a lot of heat, Do you feel it?"

Everyone nods their heads

"Alright now I want you to open your hand and take a look at your card" Diana opens her hand and The card is completely together only folded

"WHAT?! how did you do that!?!? " Diana examines the card and then passes it around to everyone for them to check it out

"That was phenomenal! What's your name kid?" Dad asks while examining the card himself

"Colins, Collins Key" He says shaking my dad's hand

"Well Collins, You are totally gonna get far! That trick was amazing! Cannot figure out how you do it!!"My dad continues

"Number 10973684" One of the stage hands call

"Oh... God... That's me" Diana looks down as he calls it again

"You'll do fine Dee I promise!" I hug her and we walk backstage with her

"Well here goes nothing... " Diana then walks on stage for the celebrity judges and an audience of a ton of people

All I hear is the Cheering and I feel a tap on my shoulder.....
