Vegas (Pt. 1) ~Chapter Eight~

Devan's POV

Today marks the first day of Vegas week for Diana, Kaylee and Collins. But today only Collins and Kaylee are performing with a lot of others. Tomorrow is Diana's day.

"Are you nervous Kaylee?" I ask with my arm wrapped around her

"I mean of course... This decides if I go through to live shows or not." She gets up and begins to pace around the hotel room

"Kaylee.. Stop." I grab her by the shoulders and make her face me

"What Devan...?" she looks me in the eyes almost teary eyed

"Listen to me Princess. You are one of the best singers I've heard out there. I promise you. You are going to get through.. There is no doubt in my mind that I am going to be front row cheering your name during the live shows. You are absolutely amazing. I feel like it could be you and Collins in at least the top three of the competition. You have such an amazingly strong voice. Believe me princess. I believe in you." I kiss her cheek

"Thank you Devan.. I really needed to hear that" A tear began to fall down her cheek but I wiped it before it could get further than her nose

"Don't cry Kaylee. You're going to do amazing!" I hug her tight

~A few hours later~

Kaylee's POV

It's almost that time... Collins, Devan, Diana and I all head to the venue and Collins and I sign in.

Diana doesn't go until tomorrow so Her nerves aren't as shot as mine are at the moment

"We are going to split you guys up in several different groups. Your group will determine when you go on." A stage hand yelled out.

After several acts were called to go to their separate groups Collins and I had been separated.

Devan had talked with Diana and asked if he could come with me to wait. So she agreed and went with Collins

"You feeling alright?" Devan asked wrapping his arm around me.

"I guess so... Just really nervous." I say shaking

"Remember what I told you. I'll always be here. You are going to do amazing" He rubs my shoulder

"Thank you Devan.. That means a lot" I lay my head on his shoulder

Finally...

"Number 172673672 Next to the stage!!!" A stage hand comes out with a clipboard

"Oh no... That's me..." I stand up

"Positive thoughts Kaylee." He hugs me tight and I almost don't want to let go.

I begin to head on stage as I see the judges

"Hello sweetheart!" Heidi Calls out while I'm walking. Mic in hand.

"Hello Heidi!" I smile

"How have you been doing honey?" Mel B asked smiling

"I've been good just really nervous" I say while fidgeting with my hands.

"Well We can't wait to hear you" Howie says smiling

As I start to sing I just think of Devan the whole time. I picture his face and just sing as if I am only singing to him.

  For all the times that you rain on my parade

And all the clubs you get in using my name

You think you broke my heart, oh, girl for goodness' sake

You think I'm crying on my own. Well, I ain't

I just continue singing and finally the judges stop me.

"Thank you so much Kaylee. We'll see you for all of the results." Howard says while looking down at his papers.

"Thank you" I walk off stage and hand the mic to the stage hand while walking back to Devan

"They hated it. I could tell. They didn't like me." I say burrowing my head into his neck

"Sweetheart. No you were amazing. They can't show how they feel or give any feedback. You were amazing" He kisses my forehead

We walk back out to the waiting area

Diana's POV

I haven't heard anything from Kaylee or Devan on how she did but I'm sitting here with Collins watching him go over his act

"Collins? Are you nervous?" I ask nervous for him

"Nah, I just want to be able to make my parents proud." He says while aimlessly shuffling cards

"They are absolutely proud of you. I can promise you that. There is no way that they wouldn't be. You've done amazing so far. And you will continue to do amazing." I saw while rubbing his shoulder

He kisses my cheek and a few minutes later they call him to the stage.

I watch him backstage smiling from ear to ear while he wows the judges once again.
His trick this time was using Howie's book and flipping to a random page number. Then using the page number and the first word on that page he has Heidi sign an envelope, sit on the envelope and has Howard hold the book. He uses visualization and tears out the book page writes the word draw on it without touching it and then it appears in the envelope under Heidi's butt... He used only his mind for this and I have no clue how he did it.

"Thank you Collins, that was amazing " Mel B said
Hmmm guess she couldnt hold in her excitement. The judges arent supposed to say anything until the results and the cutting

"Thank you so much!!" He walks back offstage to me and picks me up and spins me around

"You were amazing!!!" I scream happily

"I can't wait for us to be on the show together" he leans down and kisses me

"Should we go see if Kaylee and Devan are done?" I ask blushing

"Sure but just know after you perform tomorrow and after results late tomorrow we are celebrating" he grabs my hand and intertwines his fingers in mine

Once we go and find Kaylee and Devan we all just go walk around the city for a bit.

We all go grab a bite to eat and then catch a movie before we head back to the hotel

We all piled into the boys room and chill in there for the rest of the night and fell asleep til morning

Hey guys!!! Sorry I haven't updated in awhile!!! But I've been mega busy with school stuff! And Kaylee and I have been facetiming almost daily so i get distracted.
But okay... I'm thinking of posting a video of me singing a song and playing it on guitar to send to Collins to ask him to come to prom with me at my school.
If I posted it would you guys help me get him to see it by sending it to him??
It would mean a lot!!!
Alright well!! I'm also sorry if this chapter

2: has any errors. I'm finishing it up on my ipod soooo possible errors for sure!!!
