The Disaster ~Chapter Ten~

Diana's POV

My parents have decided that they are going to take a roadtrip up here to New York and we would all just meet them there once we got there.

"I'm excited to meet your parents" Collins smiles while packing his bag

We have to get on our flight today to go prepare for Radio City Music Hall

"Well I'm excited to see them. I miss them. I've never been away from home this long." I say zipping up my suitcase

"They must be so proud of you. I know that I am" He comes over and kisses my temple

After we get all packed we head down to the lobby hand in hand waiting for Devan and Kaylee

Kaylee's POV

Diana ruined my surprise for today. I had been talking with her parents and we had planned to surprise Diana by them coming, but Dee decided to take my phone one day and she saw the messages.

Oh well... She'll still see her parents.

"Kaylee you ready?" Devan calls from the door

"Yeah just one second!! " I run around the room making sure I have everything

I walk through the door with both of my suitcases behind me and then we head down to the lobby

After we all meet up we head out to the car waiting out in front of the hotel for all of us. 

We arrive at the airport and wait to board our plane

"Are you excited Diana?" I ask while walking with her to get starbucks

"Yeah. Just nervous. You know? Them meeting Collins... My dad can be ... a piece of work.." she says looking down at her phone

We get Starbucks for both of us and the guys and begin to head back to our seats to continue our wait for our plane which has already been delayed 45 minutes.

Diana's POV

I begin to fall asleep on Collins' shoulder, his head on top of mine. 

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket, so I pull it out and answer it

~Phone Conversation~

D: Diana

U: Unknown

D: Hello?

U: Is this Ms. Halpert?

D: Um.. Yes? May I ask who is calling?

U: This is Officer Calloway, Is there anyway that you can get to New York any time soon?

D: I'm heading over there soon... I'm waiting on my plane.. Why?

(O: Officer)

O: Something has happened.  Your parents are Elaine and Corey Halpert correct?

D: Y-Yes... what's going on with my parents... 

I had walked away from the others at this point

O: They were in a horrible accident. A Motorcycle swerved in front of them causing them to swerve and then hit a log truck... 

D: Well are they okay?! 

Tears have begun to stream down my face. 

O: I'm so sorry Ms. Halpert... Your father was killed on impact and your mother is in ICU..

I break down. I'm unable to respond to the officer so I just hang up and fall to my knees in the middle of the airport

I feel two arms around me 

" Babe, what's going on?" He turns my face to see that I'm crying uncontrollably

He hugs me tight stroking my hair helping me up and walking me over to my other friends

Kaylee jumps up and hugs me

"What happened?" Kaylee asked holding onto my hand while i sit and sob still

I begin to try and speak but just break down again.

"Diana, we can't help you if you don't talk to us" Kaylee says pushing hair out of my face

"That's what you don't understand!!! YOU. CAN'T HELP ME!" I scream while still crying

"And why can't we?" She asks calmly

"Because! My parents were in a wreck... My dad's dead....m-my mom's in ICU... " I barely get out the words before I turn to Collins and sob in his arms

"Oh my gosh Dee... I'm so sorry... I can't believe this happened... " She says almost crying herself.

Our plane finally is called to be boarded

I slowly walk to the gate knowing that If I get on that plane.. I'll be closer to my mother... and then I will have to see her in ICU ... My dad isn't going to be there waiting for me... To give me one of his amazing hugs that only dads can give... 

When we get on the plane I get the window seat and I pull my knees up to my chest and stare out of the window as we take off.

How could this happen..What have I done to have him taken away from me... My mom... I'm so scared to see her. What if I lose her too? What will I do with my life...I just turned 16! I can't take care of myself...

We finally land and once again there is a car waiting outside for all of us. The driver was supposed to take us to the hotel. But I asked him if he would take us to the hospital and take our luggage to the hotel.

The driver agreed and we were off to the hospital...

-Hey guys... I actually may have cried writing this chapter... No this did not happen in anyway In real life... but This just makes me think of how I would feel if it was me having to deal with it

I love you guys! Super excited for a new video of Collins tonight! 

Super excited for it!! 

(Update) I AM FINISHING THIS AFTER THE  VIDEO WAS RELEASED AND I LOVED IT. THE MORE I SEE HIM THE MORE I FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM <3 They both are so perfect . That's why we both love them so much <3
