Vegas (Pt. 2) ~Chapter Nine~

Diana's POV

We all woke up the next morning with me being first.

I walked over to Mine and Kaylee's room to get dressed and ready for today.

I was going to be performing in front of all of the judges today. This was it. This would determine if I was going to continue with my dream career or not

15 minutes to an hour and a half later there is a knock at the door

When I get up to answer it I only have half of my makeup done 

"Oh.. Hey " I say opening the door wider so he could come in

"Hey babe, you okay? You left without telling anyone where you were going I was worried" He says giving me a quick hug

"Sorry Collins, I just needed to get ready and clear my head before I go on stage" I say going back to the bathroom to finish my makeup

"I don't see why you wear all of that. You look great without it" He says while coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around me.

"To get ready for the cameras hun. that's the main reason. But I also feel better wearing it." I lean forward to finish my mascara.

After about thirty more minutes Kaylee and Devan come walking through the door 

"Hey Dee, You ready for today?" Kaylee asks rubbing her eyes ridding them of sleep

"Not at all.. My throats all sore and everything. I don't feel too great about today." I say putting on a bit of my Vanilla cupcake chapstick which is Collins' favorite so who knows if he'll let me keep it on long.

"You'll do great. I have every ounce of confidence in you," Collins said grabbing my hand

I grab my guitar and we head out the door to head to the venue

After I sign in it takes about 30 to 45 minutes for them to call me to the stage

"Well hello miss Diana" Mel B smiles

"Hello Guys! How are you all?" I ask trying to push my nerves back

"We are great how about yourself?" Howie asks

"I'm doing alright. Excited to sing for you guys today though" I say bringing my guitar around to the front

"Well we are ready when you are" Howard says leaning back

"I'll be singing Clown by Emeli Sande" I say bringing my capo to the right fret

"Love that song Go ahead." Heidi says

I start the song and begin to feel more confident... that is.. until the chorus.

Here come the high notes. 

 I'll be your clown
Behind the glass
Go 'head and laugh
Cause it's funny
I would too if I saw me
I'll be your clown
On your favourite channel
My life's a circus circus
Round in circles
I'm selling out tonight  

During the chorus... My voice cracked and I know I heard it.. Which meant they had to have heard it. I saw Mel B's Face change once I hit a wrong note

After I finished the 90 seconds of the song the thanked me and I walked off stage crying out of view of the judges

When I walked off stage all of my friends were standing back stage waiting for me

Once Collins saw me crying he ran to me

"Are you okay?" He asked holding me tight

"No, I messed up. I'm totally being cut tonight." I cry into his shoulder then I feel two more pairs of arms wrap around us
