Chapter 18 : The Lake Part 2
Aireal’s P.O.V.
The girls, of course, welcomed the new relationship with open arms. I have yet to tell the guys.
“You should just tell them. I mean come on, what’s the worst that could happen?” Natie questions.
“They could hate me and never speak to me again.”
“They could never hate you. Hell, one of them followed you half way around the world.”
“Yeah, well how angry would you be if you had chased a guy half way around the world and then found out he had decided to date someone else? I’m pretty sure they would all be very pissed off at me for a very long time.” I murmur, looking down and fumbling with my fingers.
“Yeah? Well it’s your life and you’re allowed to be happy.” She rolls her eyes and sighs. “I don’t see why you don’t just tell them. The longer you wait, the worst it’ll be.”
“I just don’t want to lose their friendships over this..”
“I think you’ll be okay. They’ll understand.”
*******
“Hey Babe.”
I look up to see Bobby standing in the doorway.
“Hey.” A small smile creeps up on my face.
“Wanna go for a walk?” He asks with a smile.
“Yeah, sure..” I look over to where the girls are, them smiling at me knowingly. “What about dinner?” As if on cue, my stomach growls.
Chuckling, he says, “Just come on.”
“But I’m hungry!” I get up and chase after my fast paced boyfriend, saying I’ll be back later over my shoulder to my best friends.
“Hey, wait up! I have tiny legs!”
He calls back, “Hurry up. Run! It won’t kill you.”
I catch up with him, slightly out of breath. “Gosh.. I am… so.. out of… shape… ughhh..” I try to breath. “.. What’s that?” I point at the basket in his hand.
“Oh, nothing.” A sly smirk plays on his face.
“Yeah, uh huh. I’ll play du-“ I stop midsentence and jump on his back, attempting to grab the basket.
He quickly jerks the basket away from my reach. “No peeking.”
“Fine. But you’re carrying me the rest of the way.”
He chuckles. “Alright. This seems to have turned into a walking ride, for one of us.”
I laugh, slowly relaxing into his back, resting my cheek on his neck. He’s so warm.
He laughs. “I know I am.”
“What?”
“I know I’m warm.”
“Wait.. did I say that out loud?”
“Yeaaah?”
“Why do I keep doing that?!”
“Doing what, Babe?”
“Saying shit out load when I think!”
“Uhmm… because you’re cute?” He smiles.
I blush. “Maybe.”
He comes to a stop. “Soo.. is here good for dinner?”
“Woah..”
