Cannot believe you guys still voted for the last chapter even though it was super short, so thank you! Here's a [slightly] longer one to [hopefully] make up for that last one :)

*Stevie POV*

She took my hand as I got out of the car. "Come on." She said, laughing at how slow I was and pulling me so I can catch up to her pace.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked her, she just smirked and shook her head at me, continuing to lead me to wherever it was she was taking me. The way she was acting made it seem like we were in a typical highschool movie, but I didn't complain, it was romantic and she was being very cute.

I then realized that she was already showing me. I noticed that the rocks on the barely visible dirt path were patterned, and that the tree branches seemed to form archways. We then came up to a clearing with nothing but a couple huge rocks and a small fort in the corner that was made out of branches that seemed to have been left untouched for several years. There were several beer bottles spread out on the ground, also some random champagne and wine bottles here and there - some seemed recent, some seemed like they were there for many years.
I looked back at Ally a bit confused, "What is this?" I asked.
"I come here when I have nothing better to do, it's my go-to spot for when I decide to skip school. I pretty much show all of my friends this place, as you could probably tell I host a few get-togethers here." She told me as she looked around the place. "The whole pathway and clearing though was what I found. I have no idea who built this but it's super cool, isn't it? It really reminds me of that movie, 'Bridge to Terabithia'." She continued as I nodded and began to walk around and explore the place.

As I was walking and looking around, she suddenly pinned me against a tree and kissed me passionately. I smiled and kissed her back. After a while she let go and smiled at me.
"I'm sorry, I just really wanted to do that.", she apologized. I bit my lip. I was still breathless from the kiss so I couldn't speak, we stared at each other for a couple seconds and as we were leaning in, her phone suddenly dinged. "Ah fehk." She said, clearly annoyed. She glanced at her phone and suddenly grew wide eyed. She stared at it for a long time, I grew slightly concerned and so I decided to speak up.

"You okay?" I asked with a bit of a confused tone of voice. It took a second for her to answer, she then blinked and looked up from the screen. "Yeah, I'm fine." She shook her head and put her phone in her pocket then tried to lean back into me. I pulled my head back right as she was about to kiss me. She looked at the ground.

"Hey." I said, lifting her chin up. "Why don't we head back to the car?" I continued, trying to make sure she's comfortable. She nodded and agreed.

The walk back was quiet, she led the way and I was a good distance behind her. I didn't like it but when I tried to move closer to her she sped up her pace. Something clearly upset her, I was almost tempted to ignore the fact that she was avoiding me and grab her phone out of her pocket just to see what the big deal was, but that was only my frustration talking. I was trying to be patient with her but she made it very hard when she didn't even wanna talk to me.
I really hated getting into other people's problems, I've already worked hard enough to develop myself but I was already in too deep. I cared about her. I frowned as I thought about this, worried that this girl might end up hurting me if I let us get close. I watched her walk slightly slouched, clearly still upset.

When we got to the car, she still opened the door for me. It took a moment but I managed to let out a small smile and got into the car.
We sat in there for a good couple of seconds, then she took a breath and spoke up.
"I'm sorry, I'll tell you anything you want to know if you want to know it." She looked down at her hands that she was playing with. I didn't say anything as my mind was all over the place, not knowing if I should just ask her to take me home or stay and talk to her and ask her what was wrong. But it was clear to me that she was also disappointed and/or mad at herself for "ruining" our day. As I was about to speak she interrupted me.

"I can just take you home."
She was about to put the key in the ignition until I stopped her.

"No, wait. I want to talk." I said, eager to not let the conversation end. She looked at me for a second, seeming like she was relieved that I denied her offer. She then signaled me to start asking questions. I thought for a moment and asked her, "What were you so upset about at dinner?".
She was looking my way but it seemed like she was lost in her thoughts, she had a terrified look on her face. She grit her teeth before she began to explain. "I saw my-" She stuttered and paused for half a second. ".. my friend with her boyfriend at the bar." She bit her lip nervously as she struggled to take in another breath. She continued, "I-i-it's just that m-me and m-my f-friend.."
I unbuckled my seatbelt and went up to comfort her as she started crying, clearly having a panic attack.

She sobbed violently into my chest, twisting my shirt as if it were a stressball. She was actually shaking.
She pressed her head hard against my chest, I hugged her tighter and pushed her closer to me.

She's really trying. I thought to myself as I looked down at her desperately trying to slow down her sobs. She eventually gave up and sobbed just as hard as she was before.

When she was done crying she didn't look up or let go of my shirt. I pet her head and fixed her hair a bit before prying her off of me. "Allison." I said before grabbing her cheeks and turning her head to face me. She looked away as soon as we made eye contact. I felt my heart drop and I held my breath as soon as I saw her face. It pained me that I found her beautiful even when she looked so sad, it made me feel guilty.

"It's really dark." I mumbled under my breath. She weakly nodded her head in response. "Can we just stay here for a bit?" She said back softly while looking down at the ground, still obviously ashamed to look at me. Her voice sounded so smooth and so precious, my head began to fill with dopamine as I stared at her longer and replayed her voice in my head.
She then looked at me and I realized she was still waiting for a response.
"Yeah, yeah we can." I said as I snapped myself out of my "trance".
I got out of the car to pull her seat down so we could have more space. I got back in and laid down with her.

She fell asleep in my embrace and eventually, I did too.
