Emma's P.O.V:

"You promise?" This is the third time I make Sheriff to promise me he'll find Heather no matter what.

"Go to class, Emma."

But I couldn't. I went to the bathroom, washed my hands, fixed my hair, and checked my phone as I relived a thousand childhood memories. Heather wasn't my best friend whatsoever, but she was always around when I was little. Her mom, Stiles' mom and my mom used to hang out all the time.

I walk towards my next class. I'm just about to reach the classroom when Scott and Stiles stop me.

"What now?" I sighed. Heather missing is stressing enough.

"My little druid," Scott says, putting his hands on my shoulders. "We need your wisdom."

"Peter and Derek couldn't get Isaac's memories," Stiles blurts, casually slapping Scott's hands. The werewolf takes a step back, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, whatever Peter does with his claws didn't work."

"Alphas can take memories from other werewolves. Maybe they took Isaac's so he wouldn't remember where they keep Erica and Boyd."

"Thank you, Miss Obvious," Stiles sarcastically says.

"What the hell is your problem?"

"You guys, stop. I know the thing with Heather gets on your nerves, but we need to concentrate, okay?"

I sigh. Stiles mumbles a sorry.

"There's another way," I tell them. "It's kinda dangerous though."

"You think you can do it?" Scott pleads.

"Hell no." I shake my head in denial. "But Deaton can. You call Derek, I'll call Deaton."

"Deal," Scott says already jogging out of school. "Meet me at the clinic."

"Let's go Stiles."

"Where to?" he asks, following me.

"We need to buy some ice. A lot of ice."

I had read about this before. If we get Isaac to a really low heartbeat, maybe Deaton can get into his mind with some kind of hypnosis and make him remember. The only risk is that Isaac will be basically dead; I hope Deaton has done this before and can help him come back or else we will spend the rest of our lives in prison, with Erica and Boyd still missing and a bunch of Alphas trying to do only God knows what.

A loud sigh escapes my lips as I dial Deaton's phone.

"Emma, how can I help you?" he greets me.

"We have a situation here," I say, not really knowing how to explain the situation at all.

"I figured. You should be in class." I know he's mentally giving me that concerned-father look he always does when Scott, Stiles and I do something stupidly fun.

"I know," I say, touching random buttons in the turned off radio. "It's about Isaac. He found Erica and Boyd, but he lost his memories. We think an Alpha did it."

Deaton takes a while to answer and I have to look at the screen to check that he didn't hang up.

"I've heard about the Alpha pack."

"Yeah, we don't know what they want. Derek probably knows, but like hell he's telling us. And Peter couldn't get the memories using the creepy claws technique."

He sighs at the other end. "What do you want to do?"

"Stiles is buying the ice. I would do it myself, but the hypnosis is too much to handle."
