Jake Miller as Tristan. (;
Zane pov
She looked absolutely beautiful.
She took her hair out of the pony tail, like i asked her too, and let her red hair fall loosely down the shoulders in messy curls.
'Zane.' She said not looking up from her menu.
'Yes gorgeous?'
She looked up to me and bit her lip trying not to smile. 'You're staring.'
I blushed a little because she caught me. 'Sorry but I can't help myself, you're beautiful Camille.' I kissed her knuckles as she stared at me in awe. I wish I could see what was swirling around in her pretty little head. She used to be an open book, but now she's closed off.
'You can't say those things.' She mumbled slowly pulling her hand back to her lap and shifting her gaze out the window of the little diner in our small town.
'Why not?'
'It's never going to be normal Zane. I can't be normal.'
'Baby, what are you talking about?'
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. 'I have a boyfriend Zane.' She looked up at me and I couldn't help but let my jaw unhinge. 'And it's not only him, it's my mom. She's not doing good Zane.'
I finally cleared my throat to speak but it came out a hoarse whisper. 'You kissed me and we're on a date Camille.'
She looked away trying to hide her glossy eyes. 'It was a goodbye kiss. I thought you deserved that, and I never said it was a date, you did.'
'You thought I deserved a goodbye kiss?'
'Yes.' I waited for her explanation but the waitress came and gave us our drinks. When we thanked her and she left Camille took a deep breath and started. 'I thought you forgot about me and that you were mad at me, so you slept with my sister out of spite. And only to hurt me not caring about my sister.' I opened my mouth to defend myself but she held her hand up. 'I know, I know you didn't do that now. But I didn't know that before.' I nodded and she continued. 'I realized you didn't do anything on purpose now. But regarding Tristan; my boyfriend.' She looked up and saw me visibly flinch at her saying she has a boyfriend. 'He goes to my church and he's moving down the street from me tomorrow.'
'So he will be going to our school?'
She nodded biting her lip. 'I never wanted to hurt you Zane but I needed someone. I was falling apart when you were in a coma. It was all my fault, you left my house angry and you wrecked.' She barried her face in her hands sobbing. I stood up and walked to her side of the booth and slid in with her. She immediately sunk into my arms and wrapped her small arms around my waist. Even though that action surprised me I stroked her hair soothingly.
'Baby, none of this is your fault. I can't live with you blaming yourself. You saved me, I'm alive because of you.' I cupped her cheeks and made her look in my eyes. 'Camille I know you needed someone and I would've been that guy if I could've. But as long as he makes you happy, then I'm happy. Okay?'
She nodded. 'Can I kiss you one last time?'
I closed my eyes to stop the tears that threatened to burn in my eyes. I nodded and left two 20's on the table before grabbing her hand and leading her out of the diner. We got to my truck and i backed her against it.
I put both of my hands on her hips and caressed them softly. She watched me as i raked my eyes all over her body. I had to memorize her, all of her. Especially if this was the last time. Once my eyes made it to her face I leaned in slowly and kissed her long and sweet. I started to pull away but she pulled my bottom lip between her teeth. 'Don't stop Zane.'
