Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Cole's P.O.V

    I was able to feel the wind pass through me and making me feeling like the wind was picking me up with every step I was taking. I feel like I'm becoming part of my surrounding while feeling the ground beneath my paws. I was in the middle of the woods by my house running and burning all the energy I had stored in all morning. "Cole don't forget why we're here in the first place!" I heard Gabe say next to me. I guess he could tell that I was getting a little carried away and needed to remember why I was in my wolf form in the first place.

    I started slowing down to a stop. I was panting, but I for sure was not tired. Gabe was right next to me not even breathing hard because he was using his vampire speed. "Okay, so what kind of meat do you want?" He asked even though he knew that I can't really answer. "It's between deer or a bunch of bunnies." He was half joking about that. "Honestly I'm in the mood for deer blood." I started jumping around to show him I was agreeing. "Okay then let's get to hunting." He said while looking around to use his vampire instinct to see where the possibility of deer could be. "Let's go, but remember to keep to our side of the wood and not go wandering into the vampire territory." I shook my head and we took off. We went in the general direction since that was where we both sensed our prey was at, but we went in different areas of the place.

    I was running and getting lost in my own world that consist of me just running without a real reason. I stopped in my tracks when I saw a deer at a small stream. I slowed down and let my wolf take over, so my kill can be successful. I had jumped at it, but I think it heard me coming because I realized that I had started chasing it.

    A while later I was not match for the deer. I had it on its side and it had started to struggle, but that didn't really affect me on how I was going to kill it. I one paw on its jaw while the rest of my paws were holding his ribs down. In one swift motion I twisted its head and I was able to hear a crack around us, and I knew I had done the trick. Its body had stopped struggling under me and it went completely still. That was when I was able to realize my surroundings and let's say that this was not a place I really wanted to be in. I am not really familiar with this area even after accidentally walking in here so many times. The vampire territory I knew was dangerous because if any of them found out I was here by myself then in one quick motion I will end up like my fresh meat and let's just say that I don't really appreciate being the prey in that scenario.

    I was about to go back to my territory when I got this weird feeling in me. I started looking around quietly with only my instinct guiding me. I went in further into the vampire territory knowing that if my gut was telling me correctly I was going to not only come across a vampire, but also going to be dead meat. I kept walking when I finally reached the place where my gut had brought me to. I stayed behind some bushes looking forward to this big open area. That was when I saw the girl.

Blanca's P.O.V

    After a while of hanging out, Dana and I decided that we should head back to the house. He didn't want to go back, but since he had his home teacher come over he didn't really have a choice. I left him at the house with only a few minutes before his teacher was suppose to come over. I came back to the woods not really feeling the urge to be locked in a room for a good three hours while he was with his teacher. I decided that I need some air as well as blood. To tell the truth I really don't like drinking Dana's blood, especially when I get my dreams like this morning. I think he doesn't even realize that I do this, but I think it's mostly because he is always feeling the numbness from the venom that my teeth put in him so he doesn't feel the pain. Sometimes I do take the amount that I need, but that is only when I have not had any in awhile.

    Today was one of those days. I have not had blood for three days because I have been really lazy about going out and having to find someone to drink from. Dana and Joni have noticed and that is why they wanted to make sure I at least took some blood from Dana, but the dream made it hard to drink from him because all I could think of was him and his mom coming to save me. He was really nice to me and taking blood from him didn't seem right to me since I would be hurting someone who has helped me. So I decided to go and see if I can find some unwanted hiker in the woods on the vampire territory.
