Marco had no real idea where to leave his daughter. All he knew is that he needed to find a safe place for Blanca. At least he was able to get out of sight of the humans with his vampire speed, but he knew he had to return in case the human mob found him and disturbed the others around him. He went a good distance before he found a tent that was empty at the moment. He knew it was a huge risk to leave Blanca in a tent by herself, but that was the only place he knew she was going to be found. "Just know that we will always be with you and to always stick with your brother. You may not know him now, but you will find each other soon, I promise." Those were his last words before he turned away from his only daughter that he will never see grow up. He wanted to look back, but by doing so he will just remind himself of the terrible fate that is waiting for him and his mate.

He was going back to the house they were at before they had to get take their kids away. He saw Veronica, who also noticed him coming. She ran into his arms and let go of all the emotions that she was holding in since the attack. All Marco could really do is try to calm her down, but soon found himself crying as well. A quiet moment went by before a small yet armed group of humans saw them. They looked at each other before focusing back at the group. That was when they noticed that the small group had also another vampire, this one was male. Veronica recognized him right away, it was her older brother Lucas. She wanted to run up to him to feel the comfort of her older brother, but when she tried to move she felt Marco grab her arm. They both knew that their death would be less painful if they didn't say anything to him. The humans would take advantage and make them suffer.

Everything was quiet, but with tension. Everyone was still, just waiting to see who would be the one to make the first move. Both Veronica and Marco didn't see anything coming because before they could react their hands were being tied up. By this point Veronica was feeling weak because usually after birth a vampire women would need to drink some blood. They were in such a rush that she didn't get a chance to get some. Marco knew that they were going to be destroyed either way because if they ran another group of humans will find them. "Which would be the most painful death these monsters can suffers, burn to death like as if they were already in hell or with the usual wooden stake to the heart?" Veronica tried her best to keep her face from showing her emotion. The man who was talking walked up to her and grabbed her face. She showed her fangs to try and scare him off, but the only thing he did was smile a smirk that said he was not going to be scared easily. Marco was not very pleased about someone else touching his mate. He couldn't do anything because when he was about to show his fangs he was pushed down. He had enough strength, but all he could do was surrender and wait to see what his fate will be.

They made a circle around the two vampires, but then ended up throwing Lucas in their too. Veronica couldn't help, but kneel down to give her older brother a hug. "So I see you two are family, well then, this is going to make sure that your line of monsters will not come and take us over." The same man said. Veronica got a good look at him and saw that he was not any older than probably twenty five. Veronica still didn't say anything, but Marco did. "Doesn't killing us make you just as bad as us so called monsters?" He was trying to sound calm and serious. "We are doing this to keep innocent human beings safe from blood drinking monsters like you and your family." He said with all the honesty he could put in his words. "So in other words you are still going to kill us?" The young man came into the middle of the circle and just stood their keeping eye contact with Marco. Before anyone could do anything, the young man stabbed Lucas with a wooden stake. Veronica didn't know how to react because if she did show any emotion the stake could also be in her body as well. "You two will suffer in the fire so you can think of all the evil you have done just by being what you are." Both Marco and Veronica didn't realize that their house was still up and that it was going to be the last place they were going to see before they got destroyed. "I see you recognize the house, I'm guessing it's yours well than at least you get the comfort of your own house when you die." With that the young man gave the group to signal them to drag the two couple and the almost dead vampire into the house that would soon become their deathbeds.

Veronica and Marco were tied up while Lucas was thrown to the ground next to them. "Lucas please don't leave us, stay with us until this blows over so we can at least die together." Veronica pleaded not wanting to get burned with her dead older brother next to her. "Don't worry sis, I might have a whole next to my heart, but I will never leave you like this." With that he got up to go sit next to his little and only sister.

"Marco, where did you leave our daughter?" Veronica asked after a moment of silence. "I put her in a tent. I didn't see anyone, but I'm positive she will be found by somebody soon. How about Gabriel? Where is he?" Marco asked. "I didn't know where to go, but once I lost the people that were chasing me I found a cave in the werewolf territory. I know that it might not be the smartest idea, but the couple that found us understood our situation and promised me that they would take care of him and that they will also find a way to find Blanca."

She couldn't help, but to start crying again after realizing that their children will grow up without their parents. "Marco, do you think the kids will ever find each other?" Veronica didn't really want to know the answer, but she had to ask. "I don't know love, but let's just hope they do and that when they find each other they love and care for each other." That was the only thing that he could really think of saying because in all honesty he didn't know what is going to happen with them. "I hope you're right about this." She said wanting to believe it so badly, but something in her was telling her that something wasn't going to work out with them.

They all stayed quiet when they started to hear yelling and at that moment they could also start smelling smoke. "I guess we're almost toast..." Lucas said trying to take the tension out, but that didn't really work since he sounded really weak and was starting to cough. After a while the room started getting warmer and smoggy. "I guess this is it." With that they started see the fire come through by burning the gasoline the people had filled the room with. "Veronica, just know that I love you so much and that I''m glad you were my mate and had my kids." Marco said holding her hand. "I love you too and I am so glad that I found you." She said before she started feeling a lump in her throat. She also felt someone grab her free hand. "Just know that you were the best little sister ever and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. I love you, Vero." Lucas said starting to sound weak. "I love you too big bro and I am really glad you were always there to help me out." She said feeling the tears start coming. "I''m going away knowing my kids are going to be fine," she was still not confident about that sentence, but she wanted to hope for the good. "As well as being with the two men who I care for so much." She feel herself choke on her words.

They all decided to stay quiet for their last moments. Veronica started thinking about her kids and suddenly she started hearing a little girl scream. She jumped a little, "What's wrong?" Marco asked knowing something was wrong. "N-nothing." She coughed. The air started feeling thick with smoke.

Slowly the fire reached them and started burning, "I love you so much Veronica!" Marco yelled once he heard Veronica scream in pain. Lucas could barely scream for the fact the the pain of the stake and the fire was causing him. They were all experiencing pain, but Veronica was still hearing the little girl screams which made all the pain she felt feel ten times more painful.

All three got as close as they could before the burning they felt went away and everything went black. Nothing could be heard and all the humans stayed quiet as they watched the fire die down. They knew then that they did what they did to save the lives of other people. They also knew that they wouldn't be a trouble anymore, but little did they know that the kids were still alive and that they caught the wrong group of vampires.

The vampires they caught were the good ones. They didn't feed on human blood, they fed on animal blood, these kind of vampires were harmless. They wanted to destroy the vampire that fed on human blood that actually lived in their own city. The humans have made a mistake and that will also have an effect on Gabriel and Blanca.

So I feel like I made the prologue longer than it should have. Sorry about that, but a quick fact about me, I am very detailed when it comes to my writing. Please comment and vote just so I know there are people reading this. Thanks and chapter one is coming, I'm still in the middle of writing it.
