Kurba D' Converter: A BuernRylle Love Story?

Vice was in his usual upbeat mood when we got to his favorite Pares Mami house in Retiro.
This is one of our favorite hang-outs nung naghihikahos pa lang kami sa mga buhay namin. Ngayong medyo binibwenas na sa buhay, we still eat here pagnagcre-crave kami ng masarap na Pares Beef.

The owner and the staff of the turo-turo has become our good friends na. They know exactly how we can be rowdy most of the time. Kaya as usual uma-aura na naman ang sandataang baklita sa mga oras na yon.

Ngumingiti at paminsan-minsan tumatawa lang ako sa mga pasabog nila. Hanggang ngayon kasi, I can't seem to wag my mind off the conversation me and Vice had awhile back.

He wanted to change. And for some reasons, I knew that Vice's sentiments were rooted in that call on our ride home.

Vice:
Tanong mo dyan kay Lala Aunor....hahahahaha!

I realized that Vice was referring to me and suddenly I found myself being the center of attention of the group..

Jan:
Bakit Lala Aunor? Hahaha!

Vice:
Eh paano laging nagmomoment at tulaley. Hahahaha!

Raffy:
Owssss... Vakit Buern? May pinagdadaanan ka ba Manay? Huwag mong sabihin di ka pa rin makaget-over dun sa pinamudmod mong Unli Combo dun sa jowa mong promdi ha?

Russell:
Hoy, hindi lang load ang pinamudmod ni Mudra dun... Givenchy din sya ng Adidas dun. Tatlo pa!

Jegs:
ADIDAZZZZ?? Ateng, yan ba yung mga Adidas na binili natin sa 168? Yung red, white and blue? "Birds" over you? Hahahaha!

Nakisabay na rin ako sa tawanan ng mga becky para hindi nila ako lalong pagkatuwaan.

Buern:
Mga luka talaga kayo! Wala na naman kayong nakita kundi ako! Baka gusto nyong i-threading ko yang mga gilagid nyo?

Palakas na ng palakas ang kaguluhan ng mga becky, na nagmimistulan ng Comedy Bar ang Pares Mami House.

Archie:
Hoy kayo ha, pinagkakaisahan nyo si Ateng. Di nyo knowing, ang zozyal zozyal ng bagong jowa nyan!! At BIGATIN pa!

I threw Archie a warning look but of course, he won't be stopped.

Jegs:
Oyy zino yan ha! Bakit di namin knowing yan? Sang recruitment agency galing yan?

Archie:
Hoy! Wag small-in si jowables, imported itech! Pangalan pa lang, Made in Australia na!


Ian:
Powta, Australian Sausage? WINona Ryder yan! San yan nabili??

Everyone in the Pares House was watching us. I was so scared that Archie would accidentally drop names in public. I needed to butt in..

Buern:
Hoy bago ka mawala sa ulirat Chie, remind lang kita nasa public place tayo ha..

Archie scanned the place and looked at a group of men who were drinking beers.

Archie:
Bakit? Sa tingin mo ba kilala ng mga sunog-atay na yan ang Star Stylist na si Sydney Yap?! Hahahah!

Kung malapit lang si Archie sa akin, natampal ko na sya sa bibig. I looked around to see people's reaction. Fortunately, it seems that no one knows who Sydney was.

Vice:
Sydney Yap???!!!!!! Ni Karylle??? Sandali, yan ba yung nangangamoy malansa kanina?

Archie:
Tumpak mudra! Kanina ba naman, sa kalagitnaan ng taping nyo ni Ms. Kurbs, biglang nagmissing in action yan. Aba nung hinanap ko, nandun, nakikipagligawan kay Australian Sausage. Hahaha!

I tried to avoid all the stares of the beckys by playing with my food, which has gone cold because I haven't been eating it.

Vice:
Naku Buern, bago mo ituloy yan, magpaalam ka muna kay Karylle ha. Mas matindi pa sa boyfriend ang turing nya dun.

Even though, Vice said that in jest, I know that he was being serious.

Sydney is Karylle's bestfriend. I know that if there's one person in the whole world that Karylle is super protective of, it was Sydney.

I wonder how it is to be loved and protected by someone who is as nurturing and sweet as Karylle? I swear I would give anything just to be able to experience that even for just a day.

My mind was getting lost in thought again. Why do topics of Karylle always make me drift away?

Jegs:
Speaking of Kurba, kumusta pala yung taping? Havey ba?

Russell:
Naku, winner mader! Yung huling part lang ang napanood ko, pero grabe, in fair, may chemistry talaga sila.

Archie:
Truediz! Nakakaloka ang kakiligan! Kung di ko lang talaga alam ang kalooblooban netong si Ateng, iisipin kong nag-eestrella na rin ang mata neto eh!

Vice:
Bruha, sinasabayan ko lang si K, ano?

Archie:
Eh bakit madalas, di ka maka-isplook aber?

Vice was obviously getting cornered and was getting apprehensive of all the questions.

Vice:
Eh paano, di ako makasingit sa hiyawan ng mga audience. Grabe nakakaloka ang mga babies namin!

Raffy:
Wow ha! Babies NAMIN ha! At talagang pinanagutan mo na ang mga anak nyo! Mader, iba na yan ha! Chuma-Charice ka na yata ah. Hahahaha!

Vice was getting so uncomfortable with the topic pero halatang-halata na pinipigil din nya ang pagkakilig nya.

Jan:
Hoy! Pa-sight naman ako ng photos meron ba?

I took out my cellphone to show them the photos that I took but it turned out that Russell took a short video during the interview.

The beckys watched the clip that showed Kurba doing a sexy dance with Vice. Everyone watched in amusement while I, on the other hand, felt a nudge in my heart.

One doesn't have to be intelligent to see the undeniable chemistry that Vice and Kurba has. And something like that you can't fake.

I watched Vice trying to look away from the video and hiding his smile. Obviously, this person is smitten pero sa kasamaang palad, wala syang magagawa kundi itago lahat ng nararamdaman nya.

The thought made me realize the gravity of my situation and it made me want to cry.

May Leading Man na si Karylle at kung ipipilit pa ni Vice ang sarili nya, magmimistulan siyang isang kontrabida. Ngayon Buern, sabihin mo, papayag ka bang maging extra lang sa buhay ni Karylle?

In defeat, I looked down at my bowl and narealize ko na madami pa pala akong ulam..

Buern:
Pogi, EXTRA rice pa nga!
