Epilogue AA:
Woe
Upon docking at the Port of Wartha, settlements have been made. We did not choose to attack, for we know these are our people. I let the military handle this current situation at Wartha.
Ethaendra, as expected, is ongoing unstoppable chaos. We have returned too late. Anywhere I look, I sight nothing else but dread, ruined environments, brought upon by no one else but the citizens themselves.
The Ethaendran military is armed with advanced weapons granted by the Goblin Kingdom. They were sent to roam the land to control small parts of Ethaendra, in hopes of ending this anarchy.
I flew to Youngwood City to meet back up with Abigail. I spotted her laboratory, which seemed to have been wrecked in the past and terribly repaired. I approached the door and knocked.
"STAY OUT," she shouted. "D-DON'T DARE. I AM ARMED WITH A SNIPER RIFLE!"
She maniacally laughs
"Abigail," I said. "Calm down, it's me, Arlon."
She madly kicks down the small opening on the iron door and sees me
"ARLOOOON!" she gladly claimed. "COME... IN."
This is sort of disturbing. I have only been gone for a couple of days and now Abigail acts unusually strange. She's wearing her elegant dress for no reason.
"Arlon," she calmly said. "Do you know what....(chuckle) happened to our land?"
"Uh," I exclaimed. "What happened to you first? Put yourself together!"
"M-me?!" she asked. "ME? What? Food supply is scarce. I have eaten nothing else but wheat..."
"Hm?" I said. "What happened to you?"
"I..." she replied. "Can't remember...(chuckle)"
I woke her up by striking her with a weak spark
"Get it together," I said. "Explain what happened."
"I.." she said, as her sanity begins to restore. She takes a deep breath and looks at the mirror. "What have I become? Hunger surely destroyed my mentality.
While the whole army was gone, very few were left to discipline the ongoing chaos. The guards could barely handle the heavily armed mobs, and were forced to retreat and build up their own community, just like the rest.
The whole kingdom lost its unity, and became greatly divided to very small alliances who worked together for survival. Some chose their leaders, and some just helped each other, without falling under a dictator.
I did not choose to settle my own alliance, and I preferred to work alone, waiting for you. My laboratory was once sieged by a small group of attackers, and my sniper rifle helped me take them out.
We are living a real nightmare, Arlon. The king is a terrible ruler, as he can no longer fix this anarchy."
"Perpetual chaos then?" I asked. "You're gonna need this amazing rifle if you want to survive with me."
I handed her a laser sniper rifle from the Goblin Kingdom
"The rule of chaotic Ethaendra is simple," I said. "Kill.....
....or be killed."
