There was a new girl to our school. She was pretty, gorgeous if you ask me. She had beautiful chocolate brown skin with light brown eyes and dark brown hair. She was every guys dream and every girl wanted to be her friend. I was the odd ball out.

I was lesbian and not many kids at this school really cared. It was only me, all alone all throughout my freshman year in high school. I liked being alone but sometimes it was boring.

But anyways back to the new girl. Her name was Trinity. Trinity Smith. I liked her but I wasnt going to talk to her. She seemed like the girl who cared what others thought waaay too much and who had a bad attitude. Me &&' Her had our Algebra 2 class together. No matter how much i tried to avoid looking at her, my eyes just kept roaming her way. Class went by pretty fast with me starring at her and her paying attention to the teacher. ignoring me &&' all the boys who kept starreing and smiling.

Lunch time came and i went to the back of the school under the big oak tree to eat my lunch. Alone. But than I saw her. I saw Trinity walking over to me. To Me! Jayde. Jayde Garlet!!!

"Hi." she said smiling at me with her perfect white teeth. "H-Hi" i stammered. "Can, I um sit with you?" i just moved over so she could sit next to me, too stunned to even try to talk. "You seem like the only girl thats not jumping in my face trying to be my bestfriend. You just stay to yourself. I like that." She smiled starring at me with those deep brown eyes. "Why are you alone? Are people here annoying or something?" I debated with myself on if i should tell her why i was alone. "Um, because im lesbian and these kids don't want to just be friends with someone whose lesbian. They. Their too naive and closed minded for me." "oh." she looked uncomfortable but quickly covered it with a smile "thats cool. I never had a lesbian friend before." she said FRIEND! We were friends now!!! After lunch school went by in a flash nothing new happened.

"Mom, im home" i yelled through the house. "Jayde, shut-up, why you gotta yell all the damm time? Shush." i just laughed and walked to my room. I yelled all the time just because she didnt like it, but it was funny so i didnt really care. "Ma!" I yelled from upstairs in my room. "Ma, come here!" she didnt answer so i went in the hall and started yellin "Ma, hurry up!" "Jayde shut-up! What do you want?" she came to the top of the stairs with her hands on her hips "Whats for dinner? Im hungry." I said with the biggest smile on my face. "Jayde! Girl, stop calling me. You'll see when I call you for dinner." She left me in the room and i changed my clothes than got in my bed. I needed a quick nap. As soon as I layed my head on my pillow my thoughts drifted to Trinity. I fell asleep thinking about her. Thinking about me holding her.

I woke up to the sound of Erin yelling. She was home. Why did she always yell when she knows I like to sleep after school. I got up and ran down stairs to hug her. "Hey baby girl. How was school?" She kissed my forehead. Since i was only 4'11 it was easy. "It was fun mom, there was a new girl there today." Thats right. My mother is a lesbian. But before you go thinking Im lesbian because she is, it wasnt always this way. I liked boys at one point in my life. I did, but now i dont. My mama accepted me. "Come on Jay, dinner ready. You know how Alex gets when we not on time." I just laughed and we walked to the dining room to eat ribs, mac-n-cheese, and peas with some sweet tea. Alex was short for Alexandria for those who didnt know. My mama hated her name. Even my grandpa became custome to calling her Alex.

We sat at the dinner table as my mama placed the food on the table. We wore just on time.

"Jayde, how was school." asked my mama Alex. "It was fine, we got a new student today named Trinity, shes cute. Every boy loves her and every girl wants to be her friend." I spoke fast rushing the words out. "Mm, sounds like you like her." Smiled Erin. "What makes you think that?" I asked shoving ribs in my mouth. "I see you. Your too excited and when you like someone you talk at the speed of light." I just laughed at her she was right. She was always right. Dinner went by as usual talking about work and school and the future. I took my shower and dosed off to sleep.

My alarm blarred. Singing Happy Hour by Rihanna. It was 6:30, school didnt start till 7:45. I had plenty of time. I hit the snooze button. The alarm rung again. I looked at the time 7:15, damn I had 30 minutes to get to school. I grabbed my plaid blue uniform skirt with my button down white school shirt. I put my tie on and rushed to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, applied alittle make-up, and curled my hair. By the time i was done I had 10 minutes left. I grabbed my car keys and ran to my chrysler 300. I had a drivers permit so i could drive. My mama didnt really care if i had somebody in the car with me so I usually drove alone.

I got to school just in time. I ran straight to my second class algebra 2. I slid in the far back seat by the window so i could stare when class got boring. "Hey." said a beautiful voice. That heavenly voice that only belonged to Trinity! "H-H-Hi, Trinity." Why did i studder she was just a girl. "Can I sit here?" I nodded "sure." she just smiled and slid in the seat next to me. "So whats it like being lesbian? Do you like eat girls? Do they taste good? Have you ever liked boys? Did they break your heart?" I was shocked she had so many questions. She was like a little kid. "How about you ask all your questions at lunch." "um, okay" she smiled and turned to the teacher. I couldnt help but watch her. We had a test friday but i was focused on her not that test. Class went on with the teacher just talking about stuff, that didnt concern me. I walked through the halls and could feel eyes drilling into my back. I turned to see Chassity, Chassity since day one had been all in Trinity face trying to get her to talk to her and be her bestfriend. She glared at me giving me the dirtest look she could mustar. I guess she didnt like me but i didnt care. I turned back around and headed out the door walking to my tree. I sat and started drinking my Grape juice. Call me a kid but i loved welches grape juice! Trinity came shortly after. She looked hurt. Her eyes were red like she had been crying. "Are you okay?" i asked. "Y-Yea." She smiled and placed her hand on my hand than leaned on my shoulder. I stiffened up immediatly. The closeness of us was driving me crazy. Why was she on me? I didnt know what to do, so just let her stay there and i held her hand in silence till lunch was over.
