Chapter 16

We sat in the waiting room. Trinity's parents and brother and sisters were there. My mothers were there. My sister and Donald even left school to come to the hospital. I held Amiry while Tyrell and Tryella slept on my lap. Travis and Lilly Mae were talking to my parents and my sister was being held by Donald. Trinton had went to go get some coffee for everyone. I had stopped crying and was just telling Amiry her mom would feel better, she would be back home. I felt like it was my fault. Why did I leave her asleep? But no matter how much I blaim myself it still wont make the nurses come out any faster.  

"Jayde, were gonna take the girls outside, the nanny is waiting." Said Lilly Mae with a forced smile on her face. She dried her tears and picked up the sleeping Tryella while Travis got Tyrell. 

I nodded my head while I held Amiry. I didnt want to let her go. I felt like she was Trinity. I didnt want to let her grandparents get her. I wouldn't let anybody touch her. She was my baby. As Trinton came back with the coffee I took mines and gave him my keys to go to my house and get Amiry some bottles. She hasnt had anything to eat in over a hour. I drank my coffee.  

A nurse came walking toward us. I jumped up as fast as i could. I walked to her, Amiry sleeping in my arms. 

"Are you the family of Trinity Smith?" 

"Yes." I turned to everyone else and let them know the nurse was in there. Everyone got up."This is the rest." 

"Okay, Trinity is in a medical induced coma. She is fine. Would any of you like to see-" 

"Yes, I said before she could even finish her sentence.  

"Only 5 people can see her at once." 

I looked at everyone. 

"Does Amiry count as a full person?" I looked at Amiry's sleeping face. 

The nurse shook her head no. 

My family followed the nurse. 

"Hey baby." I said as i stepped next to her bed. Tears started to stream down my cheeks. All the tears I was holding in just came rushing out. My tears stung my eyes as i rubbed her cheek. She looked so sickly. It had been 5 hours since I last seen her. I kissed her sleepy forhead. I handed Amiry to My sister and walked back to Trinity. I fixed her covers and made her hair look a little nicer. She had tubes coming from her arms and her light brown skin looked so pale and dead. She didnt even look like my baby. She didnt even look like my girlfriend. 

"Jayde come on." Erin said putting her hand on my shoulders and turning me around. I looked back to Trinity. "She'll be okay. I know she will." Erin tried pulling me out the room but i wouldnt move. I just broke down. My knees went weak and my body felt numb. I fell to the floor and and cried hard. My breathing started to come out faster and my head started to spin. My world started to crumble. It felt like everything was caving in. My life was coming to a end.  

"Jayde, you can't let your daughter see you break down." Alex said coming to my side. I looked up at her. She was right. I couldn't let Amiry see me cry. I just couldnt. I nodded and walked to the bathroom in the room, to clean myself up. 

"Hi, Im Dr.Johnson." I ran out the bathroom as fast as i could and walked to him. Travis and Lilly Mae were back. 

"Goodevening. How is she? Is she going to be okay? What happened? Why'd she stop breathing?" I had too many questions and he wasnt getting to them fast enough. 

"Well, Trinity is going to be okay. Right now we actually don't know why she stopped breathing. All her vitals are fine and all her test came back clean." 

"Than why is she in a coma?" 

"We put her in a coma because we needed to make sure she didnt stop breathing again. We have to controll everything."
