Chapter 26

I sat in Trinitys room and looked at the pictures she had on her walls. She had lots of other kids from the hospital smiling and happy, it looked like they had had a party.

Trinity always seemed to try and smile when she was hurting or crying, she always seemed to try and make everyones day better even if her own was getting worse. Her smile was bright and pretty, but her eyes told a totally different story. If you looked into her eyes, you could almost feel the pain she felt. It was heart breaking to stare into her eyes and see all that pain and not be able to do anything to stop it.

I got a text from Drea telling me to meet her in the cafeteria, so i headed that way till Trinity was to come back.

She waved her hand from the back off the cafeteria and i walked over slowly.

"Where is everyone?" I asked.

"They um, I think Lilly and Travis went to go find out more information about Trinity and your moms and Mike and Amiry went to go I think to the gift shop to find gifts for everyone, like the swearshirts and teddy bears for Trinity." She stopped talking as if she was checking a mental list in her head to make sure she got everything.

"And the twins?" I asked.

"Oh, yea. I knew i forgot something Trinton is on Bathroom duty they should be coming in here soon. I-"

"I want to marry her." I cut Drea off mid-sentence.

"Y-you want to pop the question?"

"Yes, I know its a big decision, maybe its just lust and not love or maybe i dont know alot about her, but i think i want to take that chance, you know? I think she's the one." I starred down in my lap as i spoke.

"Maybe she is the one, Jayde. Just ask it, im sure she feels the same about you."

"U sure h-"

"JAYDE!!!!" Tyrell yelled as she ran to me.

"Hey princess."

"Do you like girls?" She asked the question out of nowhere and it kind of shocked me, but i knew she was curious.

"Um, yea. why?"

"My friend, Anna has 2 mommys and she says its fun, but the boy Hélan keeps telling her its wrong and that shes gonna die. Is that true Jayde? Will she die? Since you like girls does that mean you'll die?"

I looked over at Drea to see what she had to say but she just humped her shoulders and looked at her phone. Ugh, she is no help.

"Uh, no baby girl, just because another girl likes another girl doesnt mean she'll die. I think its fun to like another girl." I didnt know how to respond to her.

"Does that mean that I should like girls to so i could have fun?" She looked so cute and innocent as she starred up at me.

"Uh, no." My mind went blank for a second, such simple questions with the hardest answers. "I think you should wait till you understand how you feel about girls and boys before you say that you like them."

"I like boys."

"Well than thats how you feel, you dont feel the same way as i feel about girls, I dont like boys only girls."

She looked like she was thinking hard, she had the cutest frown on her face. Her eyebrows were pulled together and she had little wrinkles in her forehead.

"Does Trinity only like girls? She kissed you but the bible said your not supposed to kiss girls, will she go to hell?"

I ran my hands through my short hair. This was the hardest questions I ever had to answer. I looked over at Drea, who again humped her shoulders.

"Uhh, no. She's not going to go to hell. Yes, she only like girls, but um. um somethings in the bible um.." I was struggling, I didnt know what to say. I didnt want to make her question the bible or her beliefs but i just didnt know.

"Ice Cream Anyone?" Drea finally asked, I looked at her with a thankful, smile she smiled back as she walked off with the twins skipping behind her. Ugh, how was I gonna explain this to Amiry when she grew up? I had a lot of thinking to do. I sat at the table thinking about everything. I didnt want my kid to be picked on or shunned because she had 2 mommys but i also didnt want to leave her life just to satisfy others. I looked at my Iphone and checked my emails. Nothing but school, work than one particular email stood out. It was addressed to Trinity but sent to my email. I thought that was strange because my email was only used for schools I didnt even have spam mail. I decided I wanted to check it. I clicked on the email and a picture of Amiry popped up, she was just born it looked like and she had the tinyest toes, almost like a baby dolls it was soo small. I smiled at the picture, but couldnt help wonder how anyone got this email.

I was thinking too much to even notice little Tyrell come and sit at the table right across from me. When I looked up, she was just starring at me, with her big brown eyes. Not like starring at me but, like she was starring through me. It was weird, I watched her slowly as she kept her eyes on me. She looked confused. The confusion showed on her face. I didnt want to start up that conversation again so i quickly text her mother to tell her where we were.

"Jayde?" She called my name still starring unblinkingly

"Yes?"

"So will you go to he-."

"Mommys Babies." Lilly said as she walked in. I was releaved, I sighed as they ran to their mother. She hugged them and walked with them back over to me and hugged me. "We got them for now, thank you, you look tired we have a hotel if you wanna sleep. Its in the Marriot right down the street, your room number is 1028 floor 6."

"Thank you." I got up and said goos bye to everyone in the cafeteria, I texted my mothers to let them know where I was going and started to talk the 2 blockes to the hotel. I didnt have time to survey the room, i just closed the door, and fell to the bed where i drifted off to sleep almost instantly.

I know its short but i dont know when I'll be able to update because of the holidays.
