⠀⠀⠀⠀Well, they walked in at the perfect moment: Zant was having one of his famous spastic scenes. Midna and Link gave him the 'bruh' look (as I like to call it), and it wasn't long before the fake ruler spoke,

" You still live... how astonishing. No wonder they call you hero. However, this is the last time I shall see you alive. Prepare to pay the debt you owe... "

(How threatening... I saw what you did Zant, don't try to act cool now😂)

Zant charged a spin attack, (very reminiscent of Links 'Great Spin' hidden skill), and ran at Midna. Link jumped in front of her and sheathed his sword. At just the right moment, he slashed Zant up. Zant fell from the blow, which would be fatal to any Human... But Zant was no human. He was a monster.
Zant arose from the injury and stood tall before Link, initiating the fight between the two.

⠀⠀⠀⠀The first few phases of the battle seemed like a bad LSD trip, Link thought. Zant somehow made simulations of the Temples and turned himself into the antagonist of each separate one. With that, Link would have to defeat Zant several times, in many different ways, but at all at the same time. Forest Temple Boss, miniboss, Morpheel, that giant goron dude, and that weird ass fire thing in the, take your best guess... fire temple.. You name it, Link probably had to face Zant in that form. Luckily, he was successful upon doing so but it wasn't the end of it. There was still one more stretch, the final showdown in Hyrule Castle Courtyard.
At this point, Zant had no planned way of making Link suffer because the courtyard was the last place he intended to be. So you could guess that he was going to have some fun freestyling.

(Here, is where Creative License comes into play. I cry every time at how this logic is used.)

Zant grew metallic limbs from his arms in place of his hands. Twin blades: very long, very sharp, and VERY capable of impaling Link. This of course was a shit scenario, because Link was already weary from the first couple phases. The Ursurper King did not care though, and started teleporting around the area; behind, in front, everywhere, and each time the opposite of where he knew Link would expect him to be. Link got off on a pretty rough start. He'd taken several hits from Zant during the use of Zant's freestyled combat tactics, and he was about to faint. He was convinced he'd already lost the battle for Hyrule. Just then, Midna used the small fraction of power she had in her, (small by comparison, but VERY effective) grabbed Zant by the throat, then threw him to the concrete. Zant, in dire peril, lay motionless on the ground temporarily.

'This is my chance' Link thought.
'Get him while he's down.'

With that thought reverberating in his head, Link delivered the final blow.

Zant was defeated, and the best part was, they defeated him together. Link would have likely not survived another significantly gentle tap of the blades on his wounded skin, had Midna not helped him out.

There was still one more thing left to do, however; defeat Ganon.

Oh boy.

Author's Note:

Do you guys remember how Zant starts flipping out in that one cutscene when you confront him in the game RIGHT BEFORE YOU BATTLE HIM? Just picture that when you read this. He needs to take his meds, yo.

Much Love,⠀⠀⠀⠀
