(Midna's POV)
⠀⠀⠀⠀Now. After Link giving Ganon his death wish, the two of us reigning victorious, and the battle finally being over... You would think it's been of advantage, to relief, right? Not at all. To no avail... I am once again, in the same state I was before. It's one of the many shades of sadness, really. A never ending cycle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀You see, my problem is this. Even though the relationship between Link and I has been established - and it's grown nothing but stronger through this quest - I know in my heart how evil and contradictory the win really is. While he is oblivious to what happens next, I know exactly what must be done, and that... is leaving him. Not him, just here. He doesn't realize that when we return to Hyrule, and witness the end result, I have to return to the Twili. I have no choice, but it hurts me terribly, especially because he doesn't know it. I desperately wish there were another way.
