Three hours later, and who even knows how many bottles, Sky has joined us, and now sits passed out from the alcohol on Zarich's lap, who also rejoined our group. Blade and Jace have begun playing a game they call Dare, which is where you see who can come up with better dares. When they are drunk, the dares are mainly dirty, disgusting dares. And when they just play it for fun, they usually consist of just idiotic dares.
Right now, Blade runs around the room wearing nothing other than his socks, sunglasses, and a hat. He is yelling something, but I can't understand it. Between the weird accent he is using, and the slurring of his drunk words, everything just sounds like he mashed letters together in a random order.
Indigo sits in the corner playing with River and Bambi, as she refuses to drink. Even though we know she is responsible enough, she claims she doesn't think it's appropriate. Everett keeps begging everyone to let him try a sip, but when Blade does, he almost throws it back up.
Makya drinks, but not enough to get her drunk, only enough for her words to begin slurring, and her feet to shuffle and stagger on the floor when she walks.
Zarich refused all drinks. He told everyone that he wasn't going to act like a foolish imbecile just to have a massive migraine in the morning. And when he puts it that way, it occurs to me that it doesn't really make sense to drink. You either don't drink enough to actually have much fun, or you drink way too much, and feel like you're dying when you wake up. Pointless.
I have gotten drunk only once in my life. I was 14, and Blade and Jace dared me to. I tried to wiggle my way out of it, but they can be very persuasive sometimes. Especially when they tell me they'll do my job for a week.
And then there is me. I chose not to drink originally, but Jace pushed a drink into my hand and practically forced it down my throat. I don't finish the whole drink though, so far I have only taken a few sips. I don't intend on getting drunk, and so, hopefully, I won't. But who knows what could happen when you put a drink in either Blade's or Jace's hand?
I find myself, and hour later, dancing on one of the tables with Blade, who is half naked, and Sky has woken up. She is now laughing at something Zarich must have said. I don't see Indigo, River, Bambi, or Makya anywhere. Jace and Everett are talking in a corner, laughing about something. There is music emanating from somewhere in the room, the spot, I can't specify. My head feels foggy, and I can't think clearly. I see the world through a new pair of eyes. Everything looks sharper, and crisper, and yet, still blurrier than usual. I feel like I am 14 again, when I got drunk. I stumble on the table, and when I see the floor in my view, only feet away, something grabs me from behind.
"Whoa, careful Bunny. I can't lose my dance partner now." I hear someone say behind me. It takes me a minute, but eventually I recognize the voice to be Blade's. I turn around, and find I was right. He stands there, a hand on my hip bone, and he looks straight into my eyes, and I return the look with a similar one. I feel something pulse through me. I can't recall the feeling, I have never experienced it before. It is something new to my body, and when I don't recognize it, I panic. I move and wriggle, and when I do, this time I hit the floor.
Hands grab my arms and pick me up. I am spun around, and I come face to face with Blade. I come to my senses and realize this is thoroughly awkward. I back away instantly, and he looks startled. "What's wrong bunny? I thought we were having fun?" He says with a hint of sarcasm in his tone. I shake my head and look back at him. "I- I have to go." I tell him, and walk to my room.
I'm not entirely sure what really happened just now, but I try to steady my thoughts, and get back on track. Not comprehending anything is making me go insane. I decide I need water, but that would mean going back to the Dining Hall, and Blade is there. and honestly, I would rather not have another gauche confrontation. So instead I settle on staying in my room.
