The bell just rang, signaling the end of fourth period. Which means it's lunch break. Gee! I'm gonna feel all alone on the lunch table, again. No need to worry, I'm used to it. Can't believe that Kathryne and I have the same subjects from first to fourth period. Maybe this year, just maybe, it'll be all different. I mean, having someone to talk to while sitting through a boring class is really a new experience.

I walked my way to the cafeteria and grabbed myself a tray. I picked off some leafy goods and some fruits-not being a goat or anything-and picked a box of milk.

I walked to where my table was waiting for me, on table 5. But first I had to pass through-what I call-the death pit. It's named like that for a couple of reasons.

I walked straight, hoping that this wont be a big mess. I looked at my left, table 1 to be specific, and that's the bitch's table. Bad decision. Angel looked at me with her electrifying green eyes, as if she has the powers to teleport all the way in front of my face and choke me to death. I looked at my right where all the jocks had gathered. And there I saw Josh, smiling big at his group of friends while I had none. Everything had gone slow motion as his eyes twinkled. I kept on staring at him that I didn't really notice the wet floor sign.

What happenes next? I slipped, face first where all the food had landed on. That's when I noticed that Josh's attention was on me. A worried expression was written on his face.

Ok, this I hate the most. If he would have cared enough for me, he would stand up and help me like a gentleman. But, sadly, he cares too much for his reputation more than he'd ever care for me. And he said NOTHING is going to change that. Ever.

Angel, on the other hand, was kind enough to leave her devilish smile at my 'little' mess. Oh, and that's not all, she was kind enough to give me her left overs. She dumped her salad and Greek yogurt all over my hair as I try to stand up, but horribly failed. Butt first. Everyone in the cafeteria laughed their butts out including the lunch ladies.

And that's where I left my hopes, my confidence, and my dignity.

"What the heck happened to you?" There, I saw Kathryne Blanchard, holding my shoulders. Helping me to get up on my feet.

"Oh, nothing. Just a little accident." I lied. Giving her a much worried look. I looked over at Josh, he raised a brow at me but wondered why he did it.

"I see you've made a 'friend'." She choked while saying the word friend, as if it was that hard to say. Well, so much for her acting skills, she acted like she was about to throw up.

"The name's Kathryne, Miss 'Perfect'." Kathryne air quoted the word perfect, mocking her girly acts.

"Whatever!" Angel rolled her eyes at her. Kathy did the same. "Come on girls." She flipped her gorgeously, flawless hair at me and Kathy. Her minions followed her steps, chuckling at what just happened. "Bitch!" Kathy 'coughed' and rolled her eyes one more time. Well, that servers her right.

Kathy took me to my table. She offered me her lunch and her juice and she even wiped of the food that was on my shirt. "Wait here." Less than a second, I found her out of sight. What is this girl up to?
