Chapter 7 - Classy Restaurant?

Josh took me to this really cool 90s fashion, retro restaurant where the waiter and waitresses use roller skates and table hopping to ask orders. I really need to take a tour around town, this town is amazeballs!

We sat down outside to feel the fresh cold breeze. I expected that this night is awfully cold but it wasn't. Sure there was some cold breezes swinging here and there but over all it was at a moderate temperature. The waitress came, she had pastel pink hair and chewed gum, like they always do in the 90s, and gave us the menu.

"We'll have two cheese burgers and two chocolate kiss milkshakes." Josh said to the waitress as the lady listed it down. The waitress raised her brows at me as a sign if I agreed to what Josh ordred. I nodded and she gave us the review of what we ordered and went off to the kitchen.

"I expect that you won't eat since I ordered burger. It's okay, you can tell me since we're, you know, now." I hate the fact that he keeps on repeating the fact that we're on a 'relationship'. Don't worry, don't think of me as a slut just because I agreed of being the fake girlfriend of the Golden Boy, Josh Steffens. To be honest, I'm not even taking this 'relationship' of ours seriously.

"Huh," I crossed my arms and sat up straight with confidence, "you think a little amount of burger can stop me? As if, in fact, I could finish a burger eating contest without getting fat! I don't care about fat! As long as I'm not overweight it's ok." I said in one breath and inhaled sharply and exhaled calmly.

"Woah, no need to have a really long speech, I got kinda bored." He rested his elbow on the wooden table, resting his head on top of his hand and started yawning. Back at his jerkiness. If only I knew the way home I would probably leave him here and dump him on the same day he asked my to be his girlfriend.

I rolled my eyes at him and he smiled cockingly. "What's this restaurant called again?" I tried to change the subject since being quiet while having dinner with someone you just met is the most awkwardest thing ever!

"I don't really know.." He thought deeply. And looked at the place confusedly. Does he really even know this place? Why the heck would he even bring me to this restaurant if he doesn't know where we are!

Sigh, I have to wait here for my food to come in silence since Jerky here is on his phone and not bothering to talk. After a long while, our food came. It was about time that Josh put down his phone too. I was about to dig in but Josh stopped me and grabbed my hand. What now?

"Burger Eating Contest." He smirked the way he always does and raised a brow at me letting those words out confidently.

I smirked back and gave him a look that said, 'you serious?'. "Bring. It. On!" He let go of my hand and he held his burger close to his mouth and counted down, "3, 2, 1... Go!" It was on! He started eating at the very last second and and didn't start on the go sign. That counted as cheating! We both ate like selfish pigs. I was so focused on finishing the whole burger that I didn't even notice Josh already finished his.

"Thought you were better than me, Kit Kat?" He sipped a bit of his chocolate kiss milkshake and placed both of his hands at the back of head and leaned on the chair, relaxing.

"Hey, I said I could finish a burger eating contest. I didn't say I could win it by eating the burger for, like, 2 seconds. Plus, you cheated." I rolled my eyes.
