"It's me, Josh." He took off his handkerchief, that was covering half of his face, and took off the hoodie he was wearing. I quickly stood up and planned to run off but before I could put a hold of my plan to escape, he caught my hand and gripped it tightly.

"Let go of me." I tried to release myself, it was helpless so, I did what I had to. I bit his arm and he let go but quickly gripped my arm by his other hand.

"Please, just hear me out." He took a huge breath whilst shaking his bitten hand. Why should I hear him out. By the look of his eyes he already has a plan. I know I'm being judgmental all the time but I keep on telling ya. It's true! You know what, let's just drop the act and hear the poor man out. Stop judging a man by his outer covering and start judging him from his insides. That sounds weird but we'll go with it.

I stopped trying to be stubborn and gave him the opportunity to speak. He let go off my arm and sat back down, calmly. I cocked a brow at him. Is he playin' with me? I slowly get closer to him and sat down beside him. This time, I was 10 inches away from him.

"What do you want?" I crossed my arms and tried to avoid eye contact with him but I can't seem to help it. I took a little glance at him and he looked at me with his sparkling eyes. I quickly turned away and sit up straight. I can feel him smirk. I just want to rip that smirk of his. It's always plastered on his face whenever he talks to girls.

"Can you please act as my girlfriend? Please, for just a month." It had my mouth drop. What does he mean by the word 'girlfriend'. And this is the first time I have ever heard a playboy say please. And why can't he pick another girl, like the barbie doll ones. Why does it have to be me?

"You're joking, right?" I laughed but he didn't. His eyes were staring hard on the floor, his jaw clenched. I guess he wasn't joking after all. I coughed to catch his attention. "Right?" I asked one more time. Hoping he was.

"I mean it." He sighed, he looked at me in the eyes. His electrifying eyes met mine. I couldn't stand it. I looked away and closed my eyes, hoping everything is just a dream, an imagination, something.

I took a deep breath and let it out. "What do you mean by girlfriend?"

"I mean, can you act like one?" His voice became more calm and low. He looked away and looked at the people in the park. I guess he's quite embarrassed to ask for something from a girl.

"Why?" I looked him in his eyes. There was anger bulit in it, his jaw clenched even more and his face was full of regret.

"Can't you understand a simple sentence? God, I thought you were smarter than this." He rolled his eyes at me. He's the one asking the favor and now he's the one who's all grumpy and mean. I may sound childish but that's just a fact.

"No need to be grumpy, ugly!" I crossed my arms and sticked my tongue out at him. He laughed and smiled at my childish acts. Not gonna lie, he does have a charming smile. "Tell me why!" I became more serious and faced him. His smile dropped.

He sighed. "Well," he started calmly, "the dudes told me that I could never win an innocent girl's heart and I wanted to prove them wrong." He shrugged. So, he and his friends played a bet? Win an innocent girl's heart? Where would he get the idea of me being innocent? He could've just picked Blaire, she's more innocent than me. Speaking of Blaire, why didn't he just opened this topic to Blaire she'll understand since they're best friends, right?

"Why couldn't you just tell Blaire your situation? She'll understand better because you're besties, right?" He smiled at the word besties. He shook his head and said,
