"Quit playing." Kathryne playfully punched my upper left arm and let out a small, cute laugh. "But seriously, quit it." She stated firmly. I rubbed the part where Kathryne punched and it wasn't no joke, it seriously hurt a lot more than I expected from a girl.
"No, I'm serious. I like you." I told her, still rubbing my affected flesh which had turn purple.
"But only for the bet, right?" She looked at me like she needed an answer right away.
"Yeah, only for the bet."
"After this one month thing," she said with jazz hands, "we'll act like this never happened."
After hearing those words I felt like everything fell. I've gotten more and more closer to her and after the so-called deal we're gonna be like strangers again. I'm not gonna let that happen.
"Sure." I said without a hint of joy on my voice. "I'm gonna go grab a drink, wanna come?" I asked her, breaking the silence that surrounded the cold air. As I took a step back to reach the stairs, I held up a hand for her to join me.
"I'll come with." She reached for my hand and I held it tightly with all I can. I think I'm starting to fall for her.
As we climbed down the stairs, Kathryne asked curiously, "Josh, how many drinks have you had this night?" She furrowed her brows.
"Just a little." I scratched the back of my neck. My eyes blinking several times because of guilt. She looked at me with raised brows and killer stare. "Ok, fine." I screamed in surrender. "About two bottles."
"Really?" Kathryne said, not contented with my answer.
"And a half." I said in a monotone voice as I huffed. She giggled. And grabbed my arm and led us downstairs.
"The DJ is killing it!" Kathryne screamed in front of me while we were dancing on the dance floor. I admit, the DJ is really cool and killing it with some trap mashups. He never impressed me the past few parties but he is on fire tonight.

Kathryne and I have been hanging out for a while and it was fun. More fun than hanging out with Matthew and Kurtis. We'd always get drunk in every party. Don't tell them, they're gonna flip if they knew. We sat at the bar and I noticed, Blaire wasn't there anymore. I poked Kathryne and told her Blaire was no where to be seen and I'm starting to get worried.
"No, she went home early, considering the fact that it's 1 a.m." She responded, I sighed in relief.
"Josh," Kathryne called out my name with a soft voice, "do you ever smoke?" She asked, yet, another curious look given by her.
"Why?" I took a sip from my drink, she gave me a concerned look mixed with a blank expression. She looks mad that I'm taking another cup of beer. I slowly placed the beer down and looked her with a grin.
"If we're going to pretend that we are a couple then we must be honest to each other." I got bored quickly. My eyes shifted from her to her cup and raised a brow at her. "Relax, it's just water." She looked at me with boredom on her face.
"No, I don't smoke."
"Oh, well, good." She nodded and smiled wholeheartedly. After that, she took a sip of her water.
"How 'bout you?" Her eyebrows were raised and she looked at me in shock. "How many guys have you slept with?" I smirked. She said we need to be honest so asked her a question. Inside my head, I was laughing evilly.
