Finally, school has ended. Well, for the day but it's still the start of the school year. Kathy and I went home together and I figured it would be nice to drop her to her house so I could know where she lives. We walked our way home, we live not so far from each other. I dropped her at their gate and said goodbye. I walked home, staring at the sidewalk, feeling alone again. Why do I feel so lonely all of a sudden. I sighed, maybe skipping my way home will make me feel better. Nope, no it won't. I walked slowly then all of a sudden...

"Hey!" Someone jumped at my back. I was freaking out. What is this? Oh, I hope in the heavens above that I'm ok. Then I realizeed, hey, that sounds like Kathy's voice. I turned around to see her smiling at me.

"Uh, hey." I managed to let the words out my mouth. I can still feel the pumping of my heart. It was beating, fast. I exhaled out letting out a sigh of relief.

"Why are you sweaty?" She questioned out. Pointing at my sweaty forehead because of her acts.

"You scared me, silly!" I pushed her shoulder, letting out a smile, still panting. "Anyway, I thought you were going home."

"Oh, yeah. Well, my mother and father, well, 'step' parents are arguing again and I just wanted get away from all of it for once. So I figured to just hang out with you. You seem fun to hang with." She said I was 'fun'. Nobody ever said that I was 'fun'. It feels so overwhelming to hear someone say such nice things that nobody has ever said. I felt a spark in my stomach.

"Good. Let's go." I pulled her, out of excitement, as we ran to my house. I feel, suddenly, so energetic to do things and to be 'fun' and to have 'fun'. I jut love saying that word.

We reached our destination, which was my house, obviously. I took a look at Kathy who had her mouth open and had an unrealistic expression on her face. She seemed speechless. I think it's because I didn't tell her about my parents being so "filthy rich", as they say. But to me, it's just them. I am the most simpliest member of the family. In fancy occasions, my mom would force me to wear fancy, poofy dresses and cute heels but I wear none of those. I would just keep it simple. There's no crime in being simple, is there?

"What?" I said, making her mouth close as I crossed in her thoughts. I wonder what she was thinking at the time.

"Uh, nothing. You sure this is your place. I mean, I'm not trying to say something to offend you or anything but are you sure you're not messing with me?" She furrowed brows and gave me the 'you serious?' Pose and look. I laughed at how funny her question was.

"Uh, yep. I'm pretty sure. Care to come in?" I said in between chuckles. She still looked shocked, believe me or not, it's true.

I let her enter the mansion and there I saw my mother waiting for me in the dining table, all dressed up and all formal. I let out a face of confusion and cocked a brow at her.

"Where have you been?" She crossed her arms and started to tap her heels on our marbled floor making clicking sounds. She, then, looked at Kathy-who was looking at both of us with a blank stare and awkwardness in her eyes. Then I remembered, shoot! I forgot about the dinner date with the ladies this night. And, yes, it's a 'rich only' dinner kind of date.
