^^ Calum doing his solo at the festival (last chapter)
+ NEW STORY IS UP! Be a babe and go check it out :---)

After his solo (and food, of course) everyone went back to their houses calling it a night.

Of course people said their goodbyes to Calum, knowing he won't be in Waipu the next morning.

And so there he was, in his room packing the last things inside his suitcase. As a neat freak as he was, everything was folded nicely and organised. He zipped his suitcase fully, and pulled it off his bed making a large noise.

"You ready?" Arorangi asked, standing at the door frame of the room. A soft smile was on her face, as she waited for her grandson.

"Not really," Calum admitted.

Slinging his nike bag on one shoulder, he pulled his suitcase out of the door. He took one last look of the room, and it immediately reminded him of the first day. The same jittery feeling he had once was back, but it wasn't the same reason. This time, it was the reason he wasn't going to see this room in awhile.

Once he stepped outside of the main door of the house, he was surprised to see his closest friends (he made these couple weeks) standing in front of the truck.

There stood Paisley, Niko, Hemi and of course, Anahera.

While Koro took Calum's luggage to place at the back of the truck, Calum said his farewells.

"You'll be missed, Calum." Paisley arms snaked around his neck, pulling him into a hug. Calum pulled away a bit and looked into her green emerald eyes. "I hope you and Keith stand strong." he grinned. Paisley just smacked the back of his head, before hugging him again.

"Thanks again, man." Niko grabbed his hand into a hand shake.

"No worries, I hope you and your brother get along- oh and take care of my room will ya?"

And it was true. A few days ago, Niko had confronted his parents with Koro defending behind him. Koro also allowed Niko and his brother to stay with them for awhile till he gets a job. Calum's advise had work, and Niko appreciated him more than ever.

After Calum hugged the big man Hemi, and cracked a couple jokes, Calum pulled himself up the truck. Koro and Arorangi were in the front seats of the truck, while Calum and Anahera sat at the back with his suitcases.

They rode down the streets, and Calum saw that everyone was outside their houses waving goodbyes at Calum. He stood up on his feet, as Calum began jumping and waving. It was no doubt he was going to miss this town.

As they entered the motorway, Calum calmed down. So Ana tugged his arm, to bring him down to her.

The night drifted off, with the two cuddled up in a blanket looking up at the stars in a silent peaceful state.

"Have a wonderful flight, Mr Hood." The lady mistress said, before passing Calum's passport and boarding pass.

Calum smiled at the lady, before watching his suit case disappear at the other end of the bag drop carrousel. He was now in front of the Departure gate, with Arorangi, Koro and Anahera. The moment he turned around, Anahera had jumped on him. Wrapping her legs around his waist, and arms around his neck indulging him in a hug. She was mumbling words on the back off his neck, as she closed her eyes afraid he'd disappear.

"Oh, Ana." Calum closed his eyes, holding her tighter. "I'm going to miss you so much."

Anahera jumped off of Calum, as she kept her arms around his neck. She didn't want to let go anytime soon.

"Don't forget about me, m'kay?" She said looking up, while on her tip toes.

"How could I?" Calum pouted, while taking her arms off his neck, before wrapping their fingers together.

"Well it's pretty easy- You'll stop answering my text messages and then you'll forget Waipu, and-"

Calum clapped his hand on top of her mouth. "Shush. I will never forget you." He began tapping on the necklace wrapped around his neck. "I'm going to wear this everyday, and every time I look at it... I'll remember you and Waipu."

Anahera placed her hand on top of his, letting it down while a smile was spread across her face. "Of course- now go say bye to your grandparents." She pushed Calum back with a smile.

He turned to see Arorangi, and wrapped his arms around her frail body. "Good bye, grandson. This will not be the last time I'll see you!" She says always looking at the positive side of things.

"Yes, nan." He gleamed.

Then across the room, was Koro looking up at the departures times board. Calum walked over to next to him, looking up at the times and finding his own flight.

"Um- I'm leaving now, Ko- Koro." Calum mumbled, not knowing what to say.

Koro finally gave the chance to look at him in the eye. His eyes were soft and friendly, unlike the first time he met him; hard and intimidating.

"I'm so proud of you, Calum." was the first thing he said. "You are one of us."

Calum looked at Koro's eyes, which filled with pride and integrity. "I knew it in the very beginning, but I just needed you to see it for yourself. I saw that you were insecure, and how much you needed recognition with who you are."

"I needed to be tough on you, and seeing you become the person who you are today in a matter of days is a privilege."

Calum couldn't help but smile at what was happening right now.

"I saw how much you loved music when you were up on that stage." He explained the events that happened a few hours ago." I also heard that you broke up with your band back at Australia. Isn't that right?"

Calum began looking down on the floor. "Yes,"

"Kia Kaha to you Calum." Koro's voice deep and powerful. Calum raised his chin to look at his grandfather. "Stay strong, and follow your dreams. I see great potential on you. You can do great things-" he pauses, and arches a brow.

"No. You will do great things."
