It is sad, but we've seem to have grown accustomed to these trials. I instantly noticed something. "Monokuma, where is Monomi and Coraline?"

He stood up on his chair and looked at me. "Oh, don't worry about them. Coraline will be joining us shortly."

Something seemed off by what he said. I don't think I am the only one who felt uneasy because Reokyu became pale all of a sudden. "We need to get this trial started. Seh was killed at 11:19 p.m. during our Christmas party. His death was caused by massive blood loss due to a slit neck. The death occurred during a blackout."

Milono brought up a point "The blackout was a planned occasion. The electrical system is kept in the room, but is locked thanks to Monokuma."

I spoke up, "The lock on the box was unlocked, but it looked like the person who had unlocked it struggled doing so, since the lock was battered to hell."

Monokuma became angry, "I am fixing every lock tonight. I try not give you punks a lot of rules but you push me to these points!"

"Anyways, the killer couldn't have done this at the party since it would drag attention, so they had to have unlocked it before the party ever started. Was there any evidence towards what was used to unlock it?"

Teiko said quietly "There was a scalpel in the trash. It is thin enough to fit inside the lock, plus it could have easily scratched up the lock."

"So we have a scalpel. Couldn't it have been the murder weapon as well?" Bee said.

"No. Even if it was the weapon, there was no blood on it, it was chipped, and Shane would have felt at least a presence close to him. Didn't you say you couldn't feel anyone near you?" Teiko asked me.

"I couldn't feel anything but blood. The scalpel is more of a close range weapon." I responded.

Milono raised her eyebrow and looked me dead in the eye, "Doesn't that mean you could have done it? You were close enough to him. You had sufficient time to dispose of the scalpel and wipe it off when no one was looking. As few of us as there is, disposal would have been quick and simple. You could have used the inside of your shirt to wipe the blood. And scalpels leave clean cuts, making blood on the blade very slight."

...Why me? Kueriji actually spoke up. "It wasn't Shane. I would have smelled the blood on him and you could even check the inside of his shirt sleeves. His shirt is white so why would he even try to hide blood inside? Plus, have you forgotten the slashes in the ice sculpture, table, and table cloth? How the hell would Shane have made all those slashes standing right in front of him? I believe the weapon was longer range and that Shane did not do it."

This is getting intense. But I think I know what the weapon actually is. "Listen, when I was investigating, I found a closet right outside this room. The murder weapon was a combat knife tied to a broom handle. I'm assuming this was the weapon because next to it, there was a bloody rag, which must have been used to wipe the assailant's hands and knife off. There was also a watch that was set to go off the same time the lights came back on in the room. I am not sure if I was the only one who heard a faint beeping noise, but I assume it was the watch I heard."

"I heard it too. The murderer put together his or her plan together with a lot of thought." Milono sighed.

Teiko pulled something from his pocket. "I found this under the banquet table."
