Chapter 12- The Enoshima Trait

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Kueriji sort of yelped, kinda how a frightened puppy would. "Kyojuro? How...you died, didn't you?"

                   He chuckled. "Just because I couldn't do much in Monomi's body doesn't mean I couldn't do anything. Monokuma may have kept me in place for awhile, but I've always been able to outsmart him. Anyways, Shane, I'm only alive in this body. If I am destroyed, every trace of my existence is destroyed. I finally have a chance to help you out. I brought you here because there are no cameras. This place was destroyed when the island was taken over. Shane, you and your friends are almost at the end. You need to start searching for who the Mastermind is. I will not tell you because I am still unable to. But I will help you with anything else. Please do not think I am being selfish. It's actually quite hard for me to even know the Mastermind. Kueriji, keep Shane alive. I know you love him so I shouldn't have to tell you."

       Kueriji was blushing hard and wouldn't look at me. Looking at Kyojuro's face on the screen slipped made me think. "Kyojuro, who are you exactly? Why are you helping us?"

       He sighed. "Shane, I was a student just like you. Unfortunately, I was killed by the same person who is controlling you all here. I don't know how they are here and how they were able to get you all here, but I promise you I had nothing to do with the events here. I found out at the end of my life and tried to make sure there was a way I could help you all out of here, but the Mastermind must have seen my plan. I will admit, they were a lot smarter than I knew. I'm sorry that you've lost so many people...I will be honest, I wasn't always this good. I was on the side of despair and I've done my fair share of wrong doings but I saw how terrible things were. I just didn't see it soon enough. But if you really want to know who I am, I will tell you. My name is Kyojuro Komaeda, cousin of Nagito Komaeda, and Super High school Level Despair. My high school level used to be Math Genius, but I was changed to despair when the original Headmaster met me."

          Kyojuro Komaeda? Was this the cousin Komaeda was talking about? And what did he mean he was dead? Who killed him and why?

         Kyojuro started to move and said, "Shane, Monokuma probably raided your room, looking for anything you may have tried to use to find out their identity. I tried to distract him as much as possible but he did see you reading a few times. But here, I swiped these when he was distracted."

       He handed me a couple of files. Kueriji nodded and said, "Shane, come back to my place with me and we will read them. Monokuma will not suspect me to do anything suspicious. Kyojuro, thank you. Will you be ok here?"

             His AI head nodded on the screen. "As long as Monokuma believes I'm dead, I will be completely fine. But if you enter your final trial, I want to be there and watch you all take down the Mastermind once and for all. If you come back here, I will not come out unless there is a signal. Tap three times on the door and I will know it is either you or Kueriji. Tell no one else right now. Get some proper rest and eat something Shane. Kueriji, make sure he does." She nodded at him and he looked at me. He looks really familiar...like someone Shannon used to know... "Tomorrow, you need to start investigating everything. Tell everyone too. Monokuma will not bother you right now; there is too much on his mind to pay attention to your peeping. Make sure you tell me if you find anything."

        Kyojuro rolled away, and Kueriji and I were left in the dark. Her cheeks were still pink from blush. "Come on Shane, you need a meal."

                 She dragged me to the kitchen. I want to enjoy my last day with her, with everyone in case we die. Who knows when Monokuma will end this... Kueriji looks like she's never touched anything in a kitchen before. She was pressing random buttons on the oven and I couldn't help but smile. Even after everything I've just seen a few hours ago, I am still able to smile somehow. I got up and helped her out. "Kueriji, have you ever cooked anything before?"
