Chapter 13- Surprise, Surprise...

                                     The morning was unusually chilly for a tropical paradise. Although it was sunny as usual, there was something ominous about how the birds were singing and how softly the waves were crashing. Selene was on the bed with me when I woke up with the babies crawling all around the floor. She slithered up to me and looked me in the eyes. I smiled at her and said, "I'm glad that I got to be your friend Selene. And I am glad that Angelina left you all in my care. But Selene, if I die today, you must protect them. I promise you that I will protect you for as long as I live. Come here sweetheart..."

                        She slithered up to me, wrapping around my arm tightly as if she was hugging me. If snakes could cry, I guarantee she would have been. I've really grown to love these little ones. The babies started to climb up on the bed and all over me. Angelina...I promise you they will be safe, no matter what...

                  Selene wrapped around my neck and I put on my giant jacket that way the babies can come with. Monokuma isn't one to kill animals...
        I walked outside and noticed some dark clouds heading towards the island. Unusual...It definitely was chilly outside. I walked up to the hotel restaurant to meet my friends in the kitchen when Milono bumped into me. "Shane, I started investigating early this morning in some areas of the islands that we do not really visit. On the second island, in the diner, I noticed something about the Manager's office. It was originally locked but I was able to pick it open without Monokuma throwing a fit. It was horrid inside...Old blood was caked on everything but I did find something strange. There was a photo of some former Hope's Peak Students...the ones that never made it out."

                   She handed me a dusty photo that was a bit scorched at the top. I recognized the students on here. There was a large man on the front, muscular, tall, and terrifying. From what I've read about, he was actually very friendly, but Nekomaru Nidai was killed by a student named Gundam Tanaka....Tanaka? Wasn't that Angelina's last name?  Junko was in this photo as well and she was standing next to...Nagito Komaeda. Ishomatu Komaeda...his cousin. And Kyojuro Komaeda...why were there so many Komaedas at Hope's Peak? Was Kyojuro like Ishomatu or Nagito? Nagito was classified as insane after how he killed himself. So far, everyone in the photo has a relative here.

           I already know about Daniel Kuwata and Elizabeth Maizono, who were both siblings on students who died in Hope's Peak. The last person in the photo was Mikan Tsumiki, who was also crazy (at least to me). She was desperately in love with Junko and killed two people just to be with her. I do not care if she had a "sickness" that made her...wait. Sickness! I remember now...

"Milono, as a historian, you've studied all about the horror of Hope's Peak Academy that took place years ago, right?" She nodded and I went on. "Did they ever mention anything about a mysterious sickness?"

                 "Shane, you don't know about what was done, do you? The students of Jabberwock Island were put under a simulation of some sort. It was mostly covered up since it happened in the midst of the world's "end". The students were put under the simulation by Makoto Naegi since they were all "despairs" in a sense. He wanted to see which ones he could save or change, that is why only a few of them survived. But there was a sickness that was simulated that caused the students infected to change drastically...Now that you mention it, didn't I come down with "Despair Fever"? That's strange...the same sickness in two different times. Shane...could we be in a simulation?"

           Could we? Could all of this be the same thing that happened then? No...I know it is not. It wouldn't make sense for Kyojuro to die and come back if Monokuma really didn't want him here. Monokuma also seems to know Kyojuro all too well.
