I sighed as I saw that the sun was starting and it was getting to seven in the morning, I knew that by glancing at my alarm clock. I only slept an hour and that was at four in the morning after that I was bright and awake and couldn’t get back to sleep finding it a difficult task so I laid there alongside with Alana and stared at her features memorizing everything on her face.
She stirred signifying she was awake, I smiled so that she’d wake up to my amazing and dazzling smile; she opened her eyes slowly and smiled when she saw me. I was going to give her a morning kiss but then out of nowhere she started crying, hear wrecking sobs, I was so shocked I couldn’t move but I held her close to me so she could cry on my chest
After her cries had died down she muttered “I’m scared”
“Scared of what?” I asked
“What we did last night, it wasn’t meant to happen and Oh God I’ve screwed up haven’t I” she asked looking at me with her blue orbs
I felt like crying at what she had said, she didn’t want this to happen and I’d taken advantage of her but I asked and she sounded sure
“Cam please don’t block me out, talk to me”
“I’ve taken advantage of you; I might as well have raped you”
“What?” she shrieked
“You said it wasn’t meant to happen” I mumbled
“You didn’t rape me, I give you my permission. Stop thinking that you didn’t take advantage we are both responsible”
“Okay” I muttered starting to slowly believe her
“I meant that our friendship is ruined now isn’t it?”
“No it’s not if you don’t want it to be”
“But we had sex and we’re not even dating or going out. I don’t do casual sex”
“Well then let me take you out”
“Really?” she questioned shocked
I nodded my head assuring her “Yes we’ll go out on a date and then we’ll see what happens from there”
“Okay that sounds good”
“Can at least kiss you?” I asked shyly not entirely sure where to go from here
She shook her head “Wait for tonight, it’ll be better”
“But…” I pouted trying to think of a reasonable excuse
“Wait for tonight, I promise” I could only nod
“I’ll take you to the fair”
Her eyebrows furrowed “But there isn’t a fair going on here, we went to the last one”
“I meant the next city from here; I came across it when I was searching for something”
“Sounds like a date”
“Well it is a date”
She chuckled “Can you close your eyes?” I looked confused until she pointed to her clothes and understood. I shut my eyes tightly waiting until she’d gone out of the room and into the bathroom
I wore an old baseball t-shirt and some shorts then I gathered a shirt and shorts for her in which she could go home in.
“Lana I came to give you some clothes in which you could wear” I called out through the door
She opened it and smiled “You’re a life saver”
I grinned cheekily at her “I know”
The knocking on my door pulled us out of our moment and I walked over to go open the door. It was all four of them with smiles on their faces knowing what had happened thanks to Jesse no doubt
