Six months later

“I now pronounce you as husband and wife, you may kiss the bride” the priest declared before Cameron took me in his arms and gave me a soft and gentle kiss. I could hear the whole church applauding but it was background noise compared to the beat of my heart whenever Cameron kissed me or held me

“Come on we’ve got to attend our own reception” he murmured against my lips

“We can just make an appearance and head off to our honeymoon”

“That would be horrible of us and people put a lot of time and effort into this” He whispered against my lips before pulling away and leading us to the church office where we’d sign the legal documents before heading to the reception. Lina kept smiling at me whenever she caught my eye and I saw Ben congratulation Cameron.

Carolina was the maid of honour and Ben the best man turns out they had been seeing each other since the last year of college when Lina had told me she was going out with a guy I would have never suspected it would be Ben, he wasn’t the type of people that Lina dated but this time she came around with her word and snagged herself someone good and I was happy for her she deserved happiness

“Come on honey, everyone’s already left” Cameron’s voice brought me out of my train of thoughts

I looked around to see that the office was indeed empty; he placed his arms around my waist as he escorted me out of the office and into the limo that was waiting for us which would take us to the wedding reception

Anytime I caught myself looking at Cameron I wouldn’t believe my luck because sure he wasn’t perfect but he close enough, sure we had our arguments and disagreements he’d always made sure to make it up to me so that I’d feel better and true to his words he’d started taking his pills for his insomnia and thankfully they worked he could sleep most of the hours through the night although he’d be earlier to wake but I didn’t mind that. He got his sleep and I got piece of mind

“You keep daydreaming and wondering into your own world”

“I just keep thinking about the past and how luck I’d found you or we wouldn’t be here today”

“I should be the lucky one here”

“Let’s just agree to disagree” I bargained to which he kissed me to seal the deal

“Not know Lana, we have a whole two weeks to rediscover each other” He said pulling away before I could trap him with my kisses

He pecked me on the cheek and opened the door waiting for me to get out, he still kept the chivalry after all those months and I didn’t mind one bit

“I hate it when you do stuff like that”

“No you don’t you find it charming”

“I might” I teased him before entering the wedding reception hall. It was the ballroom hall that the reception was situated, I guess Cameron still remembered from a long time ago and I was grateful, the hall was beautiful decorated exactly the same way it had been when I came here for the first time

“Thanks for remembering this place; it’s still as magical as ever”

“Anything to please my lovely wedded wife”

“Oh you’ll be pleasing her alright” I teased and caught his face heating up, I still had the ability to make him blush and to this day I found it adorable even though he hated it

“We’ll see” he cleared his throat before his mum came pushing through all the guests to give us a hug

“The two happily wedded couple” she spoke as soon as she let go “I’m so happy for you, the both of you and I promise to take very good care of Joseph while you’re gone”
