When I walked into that little candy store some guy was just staring at me, it was weird. He looked a little older than me and was pretty tall. I'm pretty sure I've seen him before. He always looks at me like that, with his greenish-blue eyes sparkling, it's weird. He was wearing an orange shirt, which looks odd considering he's a red-head. The shirt really makes his freckles and hair stand out.

When I went to start working he just stared at me, I acted like I didn't notice. Jim and him seem like good friends, I feel so awkward because I'm the only one who doesn't know anyone here. I just went over to the counter and asked what I should do. "You can help him stock the shelves" he said pointing to the red-headed kid. So I walked over to him. "Hey" I said. He looked up at me me startled and said, "H-hey".

"Aren't you that one kid who sits in the back of my study hall?" I asked. He just thought about that for a second. "Oh, yeah" he said putting candy on the shelves. He was on his knees on the ground and i was just standing. So, I kneeled down next to him and helped.

"So, uhm what grade are you in?" I asked. "12th, you?" He replied. "I'm in 10th, oh yeah by the way my names Jason but I hate being called that so call me Jay" I said. "Oh, okey my names Blair, but you can call me Blair" he said with a laugh.

For the rest of the day we just told jokes and puns that were pretty cheesy. When my shift was over I stayed a little longer, but when I had to go I just said "see ya tomorrow". He just looked at me with a little smile and said "okey".

I had no clue what he was thinking. Out of all the times I've seen him in school he's never smiled. He's never with anyone either, so I guess maybe it's because he has someone to talk to?
