I don't know why but he's really the only person I would ever feel like talking to, other than Jim of course. I just assume it's because he seems more accepting than everyone else. I really can't wait for study hall tomorrow.

When I walked in study hall of course, out of habit, I sat in the back. Even though the year just started and it's November, I always sit in the back. When Jay walked in he sat next to me. "Hey" he said. "H-hey" I replied in an unsure voice. I didn't really know how to feel. Annoyed that a 10th grade is talking to me like everyone else in my grade, or happy I can finally talk to someone.

"Are you working after school today?" I asked. "Yeah" he replied. We just sat there in silence for a minute. "So, uhm...how come you stay there, at the shop I mean" he said. I just looked at him. "S-sorry...that was to much of a personal question to ask" he said. "No, it's fine. I don't get along with my family all that well" I replied. "Oh" he replied. Jay got a text on his phone and started texting back. "Who's that? If you don't mind me asking" I said. "Oh, uhm. My girlfriend" he replied. I didn't say anything, I just sat there.

"Is something wrong?" He asked turning his phone off. "Uh...no" i replied. He just looked at me as if he was trying to read my thoughts. "You know, you're hard to read" he said. "Good" i replied. I just thought for a moment and it seemed as if he was too. "Hey...uhm" he said. "Yeah?" I replied. "Do you wanna come to my house after school and work? He asked. I just stared for a second. "Y-yeah" I said trying not to let my smile leak through.
