He actually started to smile, but why? How was asking him to hang out make him do something he never does, smile. "Alright" I said. "We just sat there in silence for a while, but of course I had to break the silence. "Hey, can I ask you why you're so happy about that?" He just looked at me surprised and looked down then messed with his pencil. "Uhm...I-I don't know..." he replied. "Is it because you don't socialize with people?" I asked. "Yeah...I guess" he replied.

"Do you want my number?" I said. He just looked at me and said, "sure", but sort of confused. So I wrote it down and handed it to him. "Th-thanks" he said as he put it in his pocket. "That was about it for the study hall. We didn't talk much at work until we were about to go to my house.

"Ready?" I asked. "Yeah" he replied. "Bye Jim" he said as he walked out. "We'll be walking today if that's alright" I said. "Yeah" he replied. "So what part of town do your parrents live?" I asked. "Lower" he replied emossionlessly. "Alright" I said back. We pretty much told jokes the whole way there.
