I had my arm around Jays shoulders, not that I was protecting her or anything, it was just a habit. We walked into a small reception area and she walked away from me and up to the desk.

"Hi" Jay said looking at the woman behind the desk who was clearly ignoring her. "Excuse me?" Jay said in a slightly louder tone. She looked at me and I rolled my eyes and walked up to the desk.

"Oi" I say banging down on the desk and making the woman jump, "my sister is talking to you?" I add placing my arm back around Jays shoulders.

"Oh, what can I help you with?" She spat at the two of us folding her arms tightly against her chest. "Yeah, we're Ben and Jay-Ann Bruce. We're new" I say in reply glaring at her.

"The Twins" she said glaring back at me, "yeah and don't you forget it" I say giving her a deeper and meaner glare than before.

"Here are your timetables, even though you'll only need one due to you having exactly the same lessons" she said with the slightest hint if poison in her voice still glaring, but now at Jay.

"You're late for your first lesson which is home room, you are in room 111 with Mr. Dodge" she said still glaring at my sister and handing me the timetables.

"Ta love" I say sarcastically as I turn Jay and myself around to walk out of the room. "You know how to please women Ben" Jay says sarcastically looking up at me and winking.

"Oh do I ever" I reply, she laughed at me and shook her head.

Jay and myself both have tattoos, and a few at that. Jay had; Marillion lyrics down her left forearm, stars behind he left ear with mine, my mums and dads initials in them, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell on her left ankle and a prayer down the right side of her rib cage finishing just below her belly button. As for me I had; two swallows over my whole chest with the writing 'family first' above them.

"Right you ready?" Jay asked looking up to me and clutching the door handle to room 111, "of course" I reply smiling at her and removing my arm from around her shoulders. She slowly pushed the door open and walking into the room and I followed, all the eyes in the room turned to us making us feel incredibly awkward.

"How may I help you?" Asked the man behind the desk at the front of the room, I assumed it was Mr Dodge. "We're, er..." Jay says in reply scratching the back of her neck like she does when she feels awkward.

"Let me guess, the Bruce twins?" He said glaring at the two of us "so just because you are new to the area and have a bad reputation does NOT mean you can show up 15 minutes late on your first day" he added whilst rising from his seat, I approached my sister and she held her hand out behind her to me and I took it. She never did like being new, especially if the teacher stood over her and intimidated her.

We both nodded and Jay looked to the floor, I squeezed her hand and she turned to look at me giving me a weak smile. I knew she was nervous, but she was never like this. This guy clearly scares her.

"Take the empty desk at the back of the room and don't speak unless asked" he said glaring at the two of us. I walked off in front of Jay smiling at her and rolling my eyes at him.

I heard her follow me and some guy muttered "she's hot" I glanced back to see if I could catch who it was but Jay pushed me to the desk telling me to leave it.

"Twins" Mr Dodge stated "introduce yourselves".

"Well I'm Ben and this is my twin sister Jay-Ann, we just moved back to the UK from Dubai" I said looking at my sister "they kinda kicked us out" I said with a shrug and Jay started laughing.

"They didn't kick us out, they just didn't like us very much" Jay added looking out to the class smiling "yeah, she got us into a lot of trouble" she glared at me and punched me in the arm.

"We're both musicians and don't really like people to much" she said still glaring at me. "I'm also very protective over her, so guys back off" I add putting my arm back around her shoulder.

"Bet I could take him" said one of the lads in the front of the room as he turned round to face the two of us, I recognised his voice. He was the one who called Jay hot. "I'll pay you to even try" I hear Jay pipe up folding her arms across her chest.

"Yeah, no offence Danny but she could probably floor you" said another lad laughing at Danny. "Shut up James, you gimp" Danny replied and punched him in the arm. Them and two other lads started laughing.

*BBBRRRRRIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG*

The bell rang loud through the room and down the halls, the whole class rose and walked out of the room, apart from the four boys from the front if the room.

"Ben what have we got?" Jay asked looking down at me as she rose from her seat, "music, room 115" I say in reply standing and keeping my eyes on the lads in the front.

"Ah, we have music too. We'll walk with you" said Danny grinning largely at the two of us, I felt Jay pull into my side and I placed my arm around her shoulders. This time it was protectively, I did NOT want them anywhere near her.
