The morning started in the same way as yesterday.

I woke up before James, as did Danny, Sam and Cam. Danny carried me downstairs to the kitchen where Sam made us coffee. We sat in the garden drinking coffee and having our morning fags. Cam had resulted to lying down with his head in my lap and me running my fingers though his hair like the morning before, and eventually he fell asleep again. This becoming routine for the two of us now.

Sam asked if I had any instruments, I told him yes and where they were. He cam back 10 minutes later with my 2 acoustic guitars, one black and the other naked wood with painted dragonflies on it, and my acoustic base, which was a midnight blue colour with stars dotted here there and everywhere.

Sam played a few simple melodies and finally settled on a song, Faithfully by Journey, Danny sang along and I backed him. We woke Cam and he picked up the other guitar and joined in until the song came to a close.

"I'm gonna assume you can play" Sam said handing me the dragonfly guitar, I nodded and thought of the perfect song, Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses.

"Right play along okay? I'll play lead, Cam you play rhythm and Sam base, Danny you sing if you want I'm not fussed I'll sing if you want" I told them all looking at them for approval.

"Okay I'm down" said Cam.

"Yeah me too" said Sam.

"You're singing lead, I'll back you up" Danny said with a wink and with that we started playing.

Danny's P.O.V

Jay had a beautiful voice and she could play amazingly, definitely better than Cam. They weren't even on the second verse when James and Ben appeared on the floor next to me with coffee.

We sat and watched them play, she had the most beautiful smile across her face for the whole song and didn't look at anyone other than Sam and Cam, who were smiling with her.

"Woooaaahh, oh oh Sweet Child O' mine" she sang as she strummed the last chord, she smiled bigger than ever and looked at the three of us sitting the furthest from her.

Ben raised his mug and bowed his head in approval, I flashed her my best smile and winked and James went and kissed her. I heard him whisper "that was beautiful baby".

"Uurrrrghhhhh" the rest of us said in chorus pretending to vomit or looking disgusted and hanging our tongues out of our mouths.

"How come you never said you could play?" I asked, I wanted to know the answer.

"Actually I did say that I was in a band" she said in her smart arse attitude and putting the guitar back in its velvet case, Sam and Cam did so with the instruments they held.

"Well you never said anything about being able play anything" Sam added to my original statement.

Jays P.O.V

I was being questioned, fucking brilliant.

"The thing is, I play more than guitar. I can play base, drums and keys too. I didn't have a definite position, none of us did apart from Pete and Joey. Pete was the lead singer and Joey was one of the guitarists. Me, Mikey and Jonny swapped around a lot. Mikey could play drums, guitar and bass and so did Jonny, Jonny's twin Joey could only play guitar, so he just stayed put. He swapped from lead to rhythm quite a lot depending on who else was playing guitar. I usually played lead guitar and drums, I played bass every now and then" I admitted to them, they all looked at me surprised, well apart from Ben he knew of course.

"Cool, that explains the fire power then" Cam said pointing to my arms. I wasn't scrawny like most girls, I had decently built arms, not so built they were unattractive, but built enough that I could pack a punch and lift my own body weight.

"So, Danny, Sam how's the band going?" I asked, the response was enough. They looked at each other and looked at the floor.

"That good eh" I said with a sympathetic voice.

"We er, split the other night. Difference in opinion" Sam said scratching the back of his neck.

"Ah... Right" I thought I'd shut my mouth, I didn't want to know what happened if it made it awkward to talk about.

Ben quickly changed the subject, not off of bands or anything, but onto him forming a band. Funnily enough the other guys weren't in bands anymore, so they all decided they should be a band.

This conversation went on for hours, many fags were smoked and a lot of coffee was drank.

At about 1 in the afternoon they had a band name and what sort of music they wanted to play.

"Right, so you're called 'Asking Alexandria' and you play hard-core/metal-core/screamo kinda stuff. Awesome" I summed up the past 3 hours and smiled at them.

Danny would take the roll as Vocalist, clean and unclean vocals, Sam was the Bassist, Ben was Lead Guitar, Cam was Rhythm Guitar and James played the Drums, or 'Drooms' as he said.

The rest of the day was spent by them writing lyrics and chords, eating take out and drinking many a mug of coffee, smoking our ready rolled fags until we were eventually on roll ups and then completely out all together.

The boys left and the day came to a close. Ben and me retreated to our beds and were not seen until the morning when we left for school.
