Jay-Ann and James had been gone for a good hour and I was starting to get stressed over it. I struggled with her going out without me enough as it is, but the fact that it was with some lad we had just met seemed to make it worse.

"Dude, she'll be fine. It's James, he'd never hurt her" Cam said reassuringly and making me feel stupid. "You guys don't understand though" I said to them whilst running my hands through my hair. "Then make us understand" Danny said looking at me and making me sit down.

"So basically, she was with this guy, Pete, and he was older so he expected more from her. They were in a band together with his younger brother, Mikey, and the twins, Joey and Jonny. Mikey and the twins are mine and Jays age. One night after a gig things got pretty heated between them and they started arguing about something. Jay left the venue and went back to our house and Pete followed her. They fought more and more and he hit her, so she smacked him back. She might be small but she can pack a punch. Well that just made Pete angrier, so he grabbed her and took her to her room and well.. You know" I looked up from the floor and they all looked shocked, I continued. "He had basically hit her until she was out cold. I walked into our house and saw him come out of her room with blood coming from his nose and all over his hands. I could only guess what had happened. I ran into Jays room, thankfully she had blankets covering her but I could see what he had done to her. I ran back out and pummelled him into the floor, took her to the hospital and sat with her until she woke up".

"Shit dude" Sam said looking completely horrified, "is that why you are the way you are with her then?" He added, I slowly nodded my head and looked over towards the door. "She's not been in a relationship since, she just sleeps with the occasional person. It's been about 2 years and she is still not completely over it".

"Who's not over what?" I snapped my head towards the door and see Jay and James hand in hand, smiling. "Doesn't matter" I say and walk towards her and pull her into a tight hug.

"You told them didn't you" Jay said looking up at me tears forming in her eyes. "Sorry, they asked and I told them what I knew" I say feeling tears fall down my cheeks, it didn't just hurt her it hurt me aswell. "Stop crying you queer" she said wiping the tears from her face and pulling away laughing at me. "Why is this funny to you may I ask?" I ask wiping the tears off of my face giving her a confused look.

"Because you never cry, and I mean like ever" she replied going and sitting on James' lap. "Yeah don't get fucking used to it" I said whilst walking outside to have a smoke. I can't believe I just cried in front of everyone, I'm such a twat.

Jays P.O.V

I'd never seen Ben cry, it was quite odd actually. I never new it affected him as well, well I did just not this much. "James go talk to him?" I say looking over to James, he just nodded and lifted me off of his lap and walked out to Ben.

"What's Ben told you?" I say looking at Sam, Danny and Cam. They all looked sheepish and awkward, "well?!" I said with a slight hint of anger in my tone. I glared at them and folded my arms.

"He basically told us that you and your ex had a huge fight and he er..." Danny said trailing off and scratching the back of his neck. "Er, yeah" I said walking into the kitchen, I placed my arms on the counter and put my head in my hands.

"Baby Bruce" I noticed Danny, Sam and Cam standing behind me. "We don't mind, we just can't believe it happened. Especially to you" Danny said pulling me into a hug. "Yeah you just don't seem like a girl that would let that happen to you" Sam added and I pulled away from Danny and gave Sam a confused look.

"You act all tough, have ink and piercings. You have the tough girl image" Cam added, I turned and faced them. "Yeah I sorta created an image for myself after it happened. I got a few more tats as I only had two little ones and got more piercings. I started acting up a lot and hanging around with Ben more, we eventually got kicked out of school and we made it our mission to get kicked out of every school we were enrolled in. Not long after we got kicked out of our second school I got arrested" I looked at them all and they were staring at me wide eyed.

"What?!" I asked defensively. "You got arrested?" Danny said with a small smile, he jumped up onto the island in the middle of the kitchen. "What for?" Sam asked leaning against the counter and folding his arms. "It's gonna be something really pathetic like shop lifting or something" Cam said laughing and standing next to me. "You can't tell James" I said glaring at them all individually, they nodded and as I opened my mouth I heard the back door go.

"I'll tell you in a bit, just don't-" "yeah, yeah we know. Don't tell James" Danny said cutting me off and rolling his eyes.

Looks like I've just managed to drop myself in it then, fucking great.
