Austin’s POV

It’s been a few weeks since I found out that I’m the Austin Mahone. To tell you the truth, it’s not at all what I expected it to be like. I always thought being famous would be all fun and games but it really isn’t. All I’ve been doing since I found out is rehearsing. My manager says that since I don’t remember any of my songs, or any of the songs I usually cover, I have to postpone my concerts for a few months till I learn them all again. I haven’t had one day off to hang out with Dylan or anyone since I got out of the hospital. Sometimes I wonder what it was like being famous before I lost my memory. I bet it was a whole lot more fun.

“Austin! Are you listening to me? You have to get this right Austin!” The brunette on the outside of the recording studio yelled at me once again, knocking me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah, yeah I’m listening.” I answered her. I wasn’t really listening I was just trying to get her to shut up.

“Ok then sing through Heart in My Hand again.” She ordered me. I shuffled through the papers in front of me and searched for the song. When I finally found it I cleared my throat and started to sing.

Yeah. Well let’s go back to the day, when I saw your face for the very first time. Well let’s go back again when I held your hand and stared into your eyes. Cause I knew you were the one, with you my life has just begun. Baby you can count on me because your heart is in my hand.” I sang through the song perfectly and when I finished I was actually satisfied with how it sounded.

“Ok, now sing through-“ The brunette started to say but I cut her off.

“I’m gonna take a break.” I told her.

“Ok, be back her in five minutes” She answered after I was already half way out the door. I walked down the stairs and outside; I needed some fresh air. When I got outside I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed Dylan.

Dylan’s POV

I have been doing a whole lot of waiting these past few weeks. Waiting for Austin to get off work, waiting for Austin to call me, and waiting for Austin to ask me out on a date. He keeps saying he will as soon as he gets off work, but I don’t know how long I can wait.

Yeah. Well let’s go back to the day, when I saw your face for the very first time. Well let’s go back again when I held your hand and stared into your eyes.” My phone rang. I pulled it out of my pocket and read the caller ID, Austin. I took a deep breath and then answered the phone.

“Hey Austin, what’s up?” I asked as I answered the phone.

“Hey so tonight I don’t have anything to do and I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner.” He asked. He sounded nervous, that’s so cute!

“Of course! I’d love to.” I told him.

“Ok so I’ll pick you up at 5.”

“See you then.” I said and hung up the phone.

I jumped off my bed and walked over to my bathroom. I hopped into the shower and washed my body and hair and all that good stuff. After I got out I walked into my closet and picked out a dress. (Picture on the side) I slipped on the dress and then put on some blue high heels with little diamonds all over them. Next I did my makeup. I put on some blue eye shadow that matches my dress. Then I put on a little foundation and some mascara. When I was satisfied with my makeup I did my hair. I did loose curls and a waterfall braid that kept my bangs out of my face. I grabbed my phone and my wristlet and then walked downstairs. I was praying that my brother wouldn’t come down stairs and see me all dressed up, but my prayers were not answered. “Why do you look like that?” Nathan asked me.

“Thanks that really boosted my self-esteem.” I said, ignoring his rude question.

“Well I just mean, you don’t usually get this dressed up.” Nathan said.

“Whatever. I’m going on a date, if you must know.” I told him.

“With that Austin guy?” He asked.

“He’s not ‘that Austin guy’ he’s my boyfriend.” I retorted.

“Yeah, right, same thing.” I rolled my eyes and walked past him into the living room. Ever since we moved here Nathans been, different. He’s going out with a different girl every week. He never even talks to me anymore. The only time he ever does is when he’s yelling at me or being a dick. Something’s up with him. I heard a knock at the door and I knew it was Austin. I got up and fixed my dress and hair in the mirror. When I was satisfied with what I saw I walked to the door and opened it. Austin’s eyes got big and his mouth dropped.

“Wow. You look, gorgeous.” He said, still not taking his eyes off of me.

“Thanks. You don’t look so bad yourself.” I smirked.

“We should get going.” Austin said once he snapped back into reality.

“Ok.” I said, and we were out the door.

Austin and I were sitting in the car on our way home cracking up about some joke he made five minutes ago. We had been holding hands since we left the restaurant and that made me smile. It made me feel like things might actually be going back to how they used to be.
