Dylan’s POV
As soon as the party was over I went home and ran up to my room. I was so excited to get ready and pack my stuff that I forgot to even tell my parents I was going. I am going to be eighteen soon so I don’t really care if they allow me to or not cause I am going. “How did it go honey?” My mom asked me as she walked into my room. It’s now or never, I thought.
“It went great, and um I’m going on tour with Austin wither you allow me to or not because I’m going to be eighteen soon and then you won’t be able to tell me what to do.” I said without even taking a breath.
“You can go.” My mom answered. It took me a few minutes to take in what she said.
“Wait you’re letting me fly all around the world with my boyfriend?” I asked her.
“I trust you honey. And I know that Michele is going to watch out for you and you’ll have Dave; and I know you really want this.” My mom explained.
“Mom, did I ever tell you that you’re the best mom in the world?” I asked as I jumped up and pulled her into a tight hug.
“Not nearly as much as I would like but.” My mom joked.
“I love you mom.” I said.
“I love you too honey. Now show me what you’re bringing.” She said. My mom’s a big fashonista, that where I get all my style from. We spent the next four ours packing nearly my entire wardrobe. Once we were finally done we went down stairs to watch a movie, since this is the last night I’ll see her for quite a while. My mom put in The Perks of Being a Wallflower and we cuddled and cried till we fell asleep.
“Dylaaannn! Dylan it’s time to wake up! Dylannnn, you have to wake up now! Dylan! Dylan if you don’t wake up we’re gonna miss our flight!” I heard a voice yell to me.
“Whatt? I’m up! What do you want?” I yelled, more like moaned back.
“Come on! You have to get ready!” The person yelled. I tried to open my eyes but everything was blurry. I closed them again and then rubbed them. When I opened them back up I saw that Austin was standing over me. I gave him a kiss.
“Good morning to you too.” I said and got up off the couch.
“I’m sorry, but you’re not exactly easy to wake up.” He informed me.
“I’m sorry.” I said and kissed him again. When we got up to my room I picked out what I was going to wear. I picked out highwaisted shorts that had cheetah print on half of them and on the other half it was silver studs. I picked a flowy black tank top with a silver studded cross on it to cover my top half. I was just about to take off my shirt when I realized that Austin was in the room. “Turn around.” I ordered him. A small smirk crept onto his face.
“Ohh come on!” Austin said. I motioned my fingers for him to turn around and then he did so. I figured he was probably going to turn around and try and see me so I turned the other way also. Once I put on my clothes I didn’t really have time to do anything with my hair so I just put it up into a messy bun. After I did that I walked back into my closet to get my black vans. I slipped them on and then I was ready.
“Ready.” I informed Austin.
“Finally!” He yelled.
“Oh come on, you know you love me!” I said.
“Yes I do.” He answered giving me a kiss. “Now come on, we have to get to the airport.” Austin grabbed two of my bags and I carried the other. I also held my black carry-on bag with me. Once I saw that I had all my stuff we walked outside to the car. My whole family was standing out there, except for Nathan.
“Where’s Nathan?” I asked my parents after I put my bags into the car.
“Um, he left” my mom told me.
“He what?” I asked, practically yelling.
“He said he was mad that you were leaving so he refused to say goodbye to you.” My mom explained.
“Well where is he?”
“He went out with some girl named Sarah.” When my mom said Sarah my heart dropped. It couldn’t be who I thought it was. It can’t be. It’s not. I was scared to ask the words that were at the tip of my tongue, but I knew I had to.
“Sarah who?” I ask hesitantly.
“Um, I think her last name was Wright or something like that.” I stand corrected; it could be her.
…
I was sitting on the plane next to Austin. His head was on my shoulder and even though he fell asleep hours ago our hands were still intertwined. Even though it was still early in the morning and I was very tired, I couldn’t fall asleep. All I kept thinking about was how Nathan is on a date with Sarah Wright, the girl that almost broke up me and Austin; otherwise known as Alex’s ex-girlfriend. Thank god Alex didn’t hear when my mom said her name or he would have been heartbroken. I think he still loves her. Alex doesn’t really show his emotions though. He is always just goofy and funny. The only time he’s serious is when he has to be. The only time I ever saw him not laughing or smiling is when Austin was in the hospital, but I try not to think about that. “Are you ok?” Alex asked from the seat behind me. I guess I had been starring out the window for longer than I thought.
“Yeah, I’m ok.” I answered. He smiled and sat back in his seat. “Are you ok?”
“I’m getting there.” He said honestly.
“You still love Sarah don’t you?” I asked.
“No I’m over that bitch.” I was surprised by his words; maybe he was lying. I had to tell him anyway.
“You’re gonna think she’s even more of a bitch when I tell you this.” I sighed.
“Tell me what?”
“Sarah is going on a date, with my brother today.” He looked crushed. I knew he would never admit it, but that hurt him. “I think she’s just doing it to get to Austin.” That was even harder to say than the first part, but he had to know.
“You’re right. I mean we both know that’s the only reason she went out with me.” He said, looking down at the ground.
“No, that’s not true.” I reassured him.
“Don’t lie to me Dylan, you know it is.” I didn’t know what to say.
“So what are we going to do?” I asked changing the subject.
“You have to tell your brother what she’s doing before she gets hurt.” He told me.
“My brother won’t even talk to me.”
“Then I’ll tell him.”
“And how are you planning on doing that?”
“When we land I’ll call him and tell him.”
“Alex he’s not going to believe you. He knows that you’re her ex and he’s just going to think you’re jealous.” I told him.
“Dylan you have to try and tell him. Just promise me you’ll at least try?” Alex asked me with puppy dog eyes. He lifted up his pinky. I looked at it for a second and then gave in.
“I promise.”
a/n- I know boring chapter. I'm sorry, it was a filler. There's better stuff coming I promise!
