i sat outside of the hospital for a few minutes thinking about everything she told me as more and more began to come back i remembered it all. i sat there just focusing on the fight and the cool fall breeze flowing through me. i took a breath in and out.
"Audry!" i looked over it was Keaton. "are you alright? why did you just leave like that?"
"it's complicated." i stared at the ground
"how?" he didn't understand what i meant. he finally just sat down next to me whether i wanted him to or not.
i looked straight forward. "Have you ever gone through so much pain that you wish you could start over?" i could tell he was confused. "i can't help it Keaton!" i stood up facing him on the bench and yelled i was pissed .
"help what? you saved my sister why are you so mad about it?" he started to gain speed on his words and become louder.
"that's not what I'm mad about!" i tried to walk away like i was going to avoid the conversation and he ran after me.
"Audry! Hey!" he grabbed my arm. "tell me! you saved my sister! i have no intention of hurting you!"
"but everyone else did.." i mumbled
"hey, hey, did what?" he came around and stood in front of me.
i sighed
"KEATON!!! THERE HE IS!" we looked and there were about fifty girls running towards us.
"shit!" he grabbed my arm and pulled me with him into the hospital "COVER YOUR FACE AUDRY!" i just looked the opposite way of the crowd and sprinted into the hospital. a few girls got past the front office and chased us down the hall. we quickly jumped into an elevator and went up ten floors and hid in a single person bathroom. "how do they know i was here?"
my phone buzzed. it was Jesse i was confused since i haven't talked to her since the day that she said.. well you know. so i opened it:
"i hoped you liked my present!"
my eyes widened as i gasped.
"what?" Keaton looked at my phone. his face was beet red. he started yelling. "YOU COULDN'T KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT COULD YOU! YOU HAD TO GO AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS! YOU COULDN'T KEEP ONE THING A SECRET COULD YOU!" i tried to say something but he just kept yelling in my face.
"Keaton."
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!"
"Keaton!" i got louder
"YOU COULDN'T DO ME ONE FAVOR!"
"KEATON!" i yelled even louder.
"NOW I CAN'T EVEN GET OUT OF THIS DAM BATHROOM BECAUSE OF YOU!" it was like i never said anything
"KEATON SHUT THE FUCK UP FOR TWO SECONDS!!! I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING OKAY! SHE'S OUT TO FUCKING GET ME DON'T YOU REMEMBER! WHY WOULD I TELL HER! SHE FOLLOWED OR SAW US OR SOMETHING! I DON'T! I DON'T KNOW!" he stopped and looked at me. i wasn't going to stand there with him because i felt so angry and furious.
"Audry.." he was calm.
i laughed and put my hands up shoulder high. "save it, you didn't want to hear me!" and i walked out of the bathroom. i took the long way down the stairs just about to cry my eyes out. i pulled out my phone and text Justin "lets go! i'll be by your truck."
i was walking down the last two flights of stairs when i heard footsteps and i heard a girl's giggle. i ignored it and was glad to reach to last flight feeling happy i'm almost out. then i felt two hands push me down hard and i tumbled down the stairs until i hit the floor and saw red.
