what am i laying on it feels like a rock? what's that smell it smells like old people?
"oww!" "whats in my hand?" i opened my eyes to see a needle and a tube in my hand. i looked around the bright room. i feel fine why am i here? i saw a brown door open and a woman's head peek in and go out. Then i heard some whispering and this woman with brown hair walks in. For some odd reason i became real stiff and nervous.
"please, please dont be scared you helped my daughter, i-i i dont know who you are so i didn't know where to bring you. my daughter called me on the phone crying choking on air saying she was jumped by two girls and she said some girl meaning you ran over to help her. please.. i mean no harm here, here's my phone call your mother and father." her calm soft voice made me trust her so i took her phone and called justin.
"hello?"
"justin it's audry-"
"AUDRY IT'S BEEN TWO HOURS HOW COME YOU HAVEN'T ANSWERED YOUR PHONE? WHY DID YOU HANG UP ON ME WHEN WE WERE ON THE PHONE? WHERE R U!" He emphasized his last sentence.
"justin i'm at the hospital i dont know what happened i blacked out, some girl was being attacked and i helped her out then her parents brought me here"
"i'm coming now!"
He hung up and I gave the lady back her phone.
She looked at me with tears in her eyes, she was sad but also greatful. She started to speak to me again, "when i pulled up, i saw a girl laying almost lifeless on the ground, blood all over her face and the other one holding her in her lap crying."
"what did i do?" This is why I had stopped boxing in the first place. My motto that i fought by was 'fight to kill and you'll always win.'
"you saved my daughter of course! i thank you so much! she could've been killed by those girls!"
"what did those girls want from her?"
"her boyfriend's number." she said quietly.
i looked at the woman weirdly, "why would they try to kill for a guy's number? Especially when you can ask him for it or even find it in the phone book." the woman looked like she was about to say something then stopped and started again.
"let's just say he's a popular seventeen year old"
"what is your name?" I asked.
"Tara." She answered quickly.
"My names Audry nice to meet you" i stuck my hand out to shake her hand
"nice to me you too" she shook my hand and smiled
"audry!" kevin yelled "there you are"
he, justin and steve came in
"meet tara the mother of the girl i saved"
" nice to meet you, you raised a wonderful girl" Tara announced!
"thank you" steve smiled
"what happened audry?" justin ran up to the bed.
"i'm not real sure"
"im sure my daughter would be able to tell you everything, she's in the room right across from us, but is sleeping for a couple hours until her health rises"
" i want to hear too" i added
after a couple hours we talked and became more acquainted with Tara and became friends. Finally a nurse came in.
"Your daughter is awake." she said to Tara.
"Let me go check with her and catch her up on whats happened since they've gotten here."
the nurse walked over to me in the bed, checked me and then started to unhook me from the tubes and wires.
"you are free to go!" she said happily!
we walked into the room across from mine the nurse turned the lights on and moved the curtain.
