We follow Donté to the interrogation room which is basically a cell...a holding cell. I've never actually seen anyone being held here...till now that is.

We follow him into the room and fall in line with everyone else. I raise my eyebrow as what looks like a young brown haired kid tied to a chair. His head is down so I can't make out much. He doesn't have any bandana on him. I'm assuming Donté removed it. Its forbidden to have other gang bandanas in our hideout.

Donté walks over and squats harshly patting the kids cheeks.

"Wake up kid." Donté s thick accent echo's through the room.

The kid groans slowly lifting his head. I'm shocked as I realize he's younger than basically all of us here. His eyes open to reveal bright brown eyes which harshly look at all of us.

"Good you've decided to join us all." Donté stands up.

"Youre gonna regret capturing me." The kid says. Damn gutsy.

"Oh yeah and why's that?" Donté asks. The kid opens his mouth but Donté cuts him off. "Cause no ones coming for you kid."

"My names Dylan." He spits at Donté, who slaps him hard causing the kids head to jerk so fast I though his neck was gonna break.

"I dont car what your name is. I never asked for it." Donté sneers. "Your gangs all gone Dylan. They aren't coming for you."

"You dont know my gang then." He laughs earning a punch to the stomach, that makes even me wince.

"Where has JC gone!?" Donté demands.

"Like I'd tell you. I dont know how things work in this so called gang. But in mine, sacrifice is the cost of keeping secrets." Dylan looks Donté straight in the eyes.

Damn this kid is gutsy. I give him props. Too bad he's for the other gang. We could have recruited him.

My eyes go wide as Donté pulls his gun and aims at Dylan's head.

"I will blow you brains out if you do not tell me where he's gone."

"Then blow em out." Dylan shrugs. How is he so calm?

Donté hesitates then lowers the gun. "You'll talk. I'll make sure of it." He turns to all of us. "Everyone out."

We quickly leave and Johnson and I head out back for some fresh air.

"That was intense!" Johnson says excited.

"No shit...how was that kid so calm. He's like 7th grade!?" I say pacing.

"I don't know. I hope if I ever get captured I'm that calm." Johnson shakes his head.

"Yeah...me too..." I continue pacing until it finally clicks in my head.

"Johnson?" I turn to him.

"Yeah." He looks at me. I then notice he's smoking a cigarette.

"What the fuck is that?" I ask shocked. I've never seen him smoke nor did I know he started.

"A cigarette. Need one?" He asks holding out his pack. I stare at it still in disbelief.

"No!?" I snap out of my trance. "When did you start smoking!?"

"Right after you basically disappeared. We all sealed with you pushing us away in different ways. This was mine. " he shrugs taking a drag off his cigarette. I watch the smoke come out of his mouth and realize how much I've messed up.

"Well you found me...so...stop."

"Its kinda turned into a stress reliever. And that back there was stressful!" He says pointing towards the building.

"Fine. Smoke. Whatever. But that Dylan kid...we need to keep him alive." I say going back to pacing. I almost trip as Johnson chokes.

"I'm sorry did you say we as in plural. As in you and I?" He chokes out.

"Yes Johnson we. That kid might know what JC wants with Kenzie." I look at him hoping he will agree.

"Hold on. If he didn't talk to Donté what makes you think he will talk to us?" He asks throwing his cigarette but.

"I honestly don't know. But its worth a shot right?" I ask.

"Yeah I guess. So when do we start asking questions?"

"Tonight."
