I looked at my reflection in the mirror, making sure I made everything look as perfect as possible.

I was wearing a simple black dress, one casual enough to wear to a barbecue. I curled every strand of my fiery red hair and was wearing enough makeup to cover all my blemishes, but not so much that i would sweat it off and look like a total mess.

"KATIE IF YOU DONT GET DOWN HERE WERE GOING TO BE LATE!" I heard Melinda call from down the staircase. I rushed to put on my signature red lipstick before grabbing my purse and descending down the winding staircase to my Mother's surf shop.

"Bye mom, I love you!" I leaned over the counter to kiss her cheek before swiftly exiting and making my way to Melinda's car.

"Kian won't be able to keep his eyes off of you in that dress" Melinda sized me up and down and winked. I laughed as she started the engine.

"It's about an hour drive to get to the apartment in LA that JC, Ricky and Connor all share. The whole 'Caylen Clan' is there to help him get settled, so they decided to have a barbecue. Since Jaylyn loves me, and you, we were invited and able to see the whole O2L crew, Sam included. Ohhh, that boy is so cute!" She wiggled her eyebrows as she applied lipgloss while looking at the rearveiw mirror. I had to take hold of the steering wheel a few times to prevent us from dying.

"The lipgloss can wait" I said before putting her hands back on the steering wheel. Within minutes we pulled up to the house that Candace and Amber were staying in and they hopped in the backseat, obviously excited.

"Will you PLEASE tell us where we are going now!" Amber whined, both her and her sister giving me puppy dog eyes.

"Not gonna work guys. youll both find out when we get there!" I gave a smug smirk to Melinda who I knew was thinking the same thing as me, they are gonna freak out.

We pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex and I marveled at it.

"How were they able to afford this?" I whispered into Melinda's ear.

"I guess it pays to be YouTube sensations" She shrugged her shoulders and walked into the lobby, texting Jaylyn to let her know we were here.

"What are we doing in a really kick ass apartment complex in LA?" Candace questioned.

"Were catching up with some old friends" I said as i pulled the two sisters into the elevator with Melinda and I. She hit the button for the seventh floor and when the door opened, Jaylyn was there to greet us.

"MELINDA!!! KATIE!!!! OH MY GOSH YOU'RE FINALLY HERE!" She ran and hugged the two of us, jumping up and down as she bubbled with excitement.

"This must be Candace and Amber! Hi, I'm Jaylyn Caylen!" She ran over and hugged them, who both knew very well who she was.

"These aren't just any friends, are they?" Candace looked up at Melinda and I.

"Surprise?" I just shrugged my shoulders.

"WHY DIDNT YOU TELL US?" They screamed simultainiously, which was actually kind of creepy.

"We wanted you to be surprised, and for you to be yourselves. We knew if we told you guys you would have spent hours prepping, and they are just normal guys. They should want you for what you truly are" Melinda said, I nodded my head in agreement with her valid point.

They both huffed and all five of us walked, lead by Jaylyn, to the apartment. As soon as the door opened our noses were filled with the aroma of hamburgers. My face crinkled in disgust; I always had a disliking towards hamburgers.
