Maya and Riley

I Can't , Can I?

So When I wake up Riley is still Sleeping everyone keeps asking me to tell her . But i just can't what if it ruined our friendship i would never be able to forgive myself. I stare at her , Shes perfect physically and mentally . Maybe ill tell her today. If i get the chance . I quickly get changed and put quick everyday makup on and brush my teeth . I hed out and see Josh I quickly ask him if he'll drive me and Riley to A diner tonight he asks why and i tell him the whole story . He smiles "Atleast you got over me Eh? I laugh and run out to grab A few things like Gum and nicer Makeup. When I get to the store I see Topanga." Hey" She looks over suprised and laughs "Hey maya here to get Makeup to tell riley." I smile "Josh?" guessing he told her. She nods.We say our goodbyes as I head home . Its already like 4 P.M and josh said he'd take us at 7. The Second I walk in the door Riley pounces on me!" Where have you been" she exclaims. I laugh and tell her I needed a break from her to get some stuff. I walk into the bathroom and put a more nicer evening makeup look on. When I walk out Explain to Riley that im taking her out tonight "Yay my best friend and food" I laugh. Ya , Best friend Only best friend. 

      Riley asks her mom to use her makeup and when Riley comes out of the bathroom I gasp. "Wow!" Little does she know I kinda count this as a date. Its almost time  but we have a few minutes to spare so I get my gift to Riley , 10 more days till she gets the best suprise. Today Its this cute Homemade Frame i made with a drawing of her inside . I hand it to her She smiles and hands me a Box of expensive colored pencils. Not as thought out some might say but I ran out a few days ago and complained about it to her . If only she Liked me back , I love her. Its 7 so Josh comes and picks us up he drives us to some Italian resteraunt and hands me money saying spend everything if you need. We get inside and get a table , Right away I order a coke and Riley orders a milkshake. I Make small talk with riley about tommorow since the snow day was our last day of school we didnt even have because of christmas break. Our drinks come and I savor mine till we get the pasta but she Gulps it down till its done . I order her another one understanding why Josh gave me so much money. If only this was lady and the tramp The pasta comes we Finish it then Kiss at the middle. But we arent some dogs in a back alley We're 2 best friends in a new york city italian resteraunt. I Start having second thoughts so I tell her I have to go to the bathroom and for her not to join me because If the food comes someone needs to be sitting down here. I head over and ask a waitress where the bathroom is I head over and check my phone . Lucas: You can do this maya. Farkle: You would be a cute couple. Josh: ;) love birds arent ya. Topanga: I Have faith you wont hurt her. And finally one last text Shawn : Go Time , I love you. I smile and Decide I can do this I head outside the  bathroom and Spot my Mother. I guess She got a better job no longer working as a waitress in a strip bar I guess thats good she spots me and looks shocked I do my best to give her the stink eye and sit down. I see her go up to someone and ask for a break. "Maya isnt that your mom." I nod "She wont ruin tonight riles." Riley smiles and trys to comfort me finally The pasta comes with 2 Bowls of salad . Me and riley start with the salad and we plan on Eating the pasta together. We laugh as fast pace italian music comes on the kind its nice to listen to while eating. Riley doesnt even know yet how gorgeous i find her. Her smile her laugh  Heck even the way she looks at things. We finish our salads and We start eating the pasta . Sadly as we finish up no Lady and the Tramp Moment happens. I order us  a slice of cake with 2 spoons . Riley trying to be funny picks up the spoon and trys to force feed me as i do the same . Heck can she act any gayer? Shes making me go crazy.

          We finish the meal while I still havent told her but I remember All those people supporting me and I take her ouside where theres a lake next to us I walk her over there And we sit on a bench. "Todays been a good day i tell her." "Except the part where we saw your mother " I laugh "But Riles theres another reason . I need to tell you something." Rileys face starts looking so serious as she questions me "Are you finally going to tell me Who you like?" I smile "Yes , Atleast I think so." She gets excited " Is he cute ?" "I laugh "Theyre Perfect." I was careful to use they as i couldnt tell her i was gay just yet as she would guess right away but i cant lie and say He. So I take  a deep breathe and grab her hand "Riley I ...I Love you." She smiles "I love you too . Now tell me who you like." I forgot how oblivious she can be " No Riley you dont understand. I love you like A lot ...More then a friend you get me." Her face gets serious and I'm scared she hates me . "Maya I...I dont." Im worried I  already know what shes gonna say I run away. tears forming in my eyes . I hear her run after me but i easily outrun the small girl. I cant the girl i love.....Hates me. I run As fast as i can till i cant run anymore . I then trip and fall and everything turns black.
