My family and I have just moved from Omaha Nebraska in the United States to Sydney, Australia. We moved because my my moms passing, I don't really want to talk about it.. But my dad moved on to a woman named Melanie. So we moved out to where she was. So that means new life, new start, new school, and new friends. Kinda scary once you think about it..
"Mallory! Get down here! Your gonna be late!" My dad yelled through out the whole house. Last night was not one of my best nights, I barley got any sleep. Random questions rolled through my mind, "What if no one likes me?" "Will I be a loner at lunch?" "What about no friends?" Those were everywhere in my head.
"Coming Mom!!" I said as my feet jumped from the freshly cut wood put on our stairs. I quickly scarfed down breakfast and hoped into the car with my dad and step sister Grace to go to school. The school was maybe 3 minutes away from my house, easy walking distance. Maybe I could walk tomorrow?
We finally got to school and me and Grace got out of the car to go to the main office, Grace was nice and showed me where it was. I walked up to a lady about 32 with hair like Snookie but blonde. Weirdo..
"Hi, You must me Mallory from the U.S., Right?" She asked
"Yeah, That's me." I replied shyly, I seriously have no idea who anyone is except Grace, But she's gone.
"Well, We got a friend to help you find your way around the school and help you with anything else! Here's your schedual, and This is Brooklyn, She will show you around! Have a good day!"
I turned around and saw a girl my age with light red hair, baby blue eyes and lots of freckles. She was wearing a Sleeping With The Sirens T-shirt with denim shorts on with some beach sandals.
"Hey, You must be Mallory! I'm Brooklyn Rae and I'm here to show you around because you know? You're new!" She giggled at the end. She seems very bright and upbeat.
"Yeah." I said shyly still.
"Oh Come on! Your not one of those shy ones that doesn't talk at all, are you?" She yelled!
"No, Its just kinda weird because I don't have any friends yet.." I whispered.
"I'm your friend now, I'm your best friend!" She Laughed.
"Okay!" I smiled, I think I met my Best Friend.
