Jess, if you ever read this then I am proud of you because that means you finally caught up on vicarious. I hope you enjoyed it so far. Obviously this is no where near as good as anything you or Peyton could write but I  try so whatever. Anyways, idk how long it will be until you read this chapter but I guess we will see. you are a life ruiner<3

The room was completely silent for about a minute, so I decided to open my eyes slowly. Allison’s face was blank and she looked at me, “Oh my god.” She mumbled with a strange look on her face. That’s when I knew that I had messed everything up. She probably thought this was the stupidest thing she had ever seen, she probably hated it. I could tell by the look on her face that something was wrong.

I sighed and shook my head before running my hands through my hair and pacing around the room. “I know…” I took a breath and leaned against the counter, my back was facing Allison. My heart started beating faster. Of course I had messed this up. I was trying to do something for her but I did something stupid. She was probably laughing at how stupid I was. “I know this is was a mistake. I’m sorry I just woke up and I wanted to surprise you and this was the only thing I could think of. It’s so cheesy and stupid and I’m sorry I did this I jus-“

I stopped as Allison’s arms were around my waist. She leaned her chin against my neck and kissed my cheek gently. “Scott…” She chuckled lightly and kissed my neck lightly, “It’s perfect.”

My heart slowed down to normal and I turned around looking at her confused. “Really?” I asked.

She giggled and kissed my lips gently. I kissed her back until she pulled away from the kiss. Her eyes locked on mine and she nodded slowly, “Yes.”

A grin appeared on my face and I felt completely relieved that she actually liked it. Hopefully the food was good… oh god the food. I had completely forgotten about the food. If the food was bad I would probably have a heart attack. I mean, I almost did thinking that Allison didn’t like the dinner I had set up for her. I guess it was stupid of me to get so nervous but I couldn’t help it, Allison just makes me feel that way. I don’t know what it is, but something about her just gives me this nervous yet overly excited feeling. I can’t explain it.

Allison giggled at me before taking my hand and walking over to the table. I let go of her hand to pull out the chair for her and my heart started to beat quickly again. This had to be perfect and I had to be a gentleman. I could see Allison trying not to laugh as I walked over to the other side of the table sitting down. “So… um, you can have anything you’d like and if you need anything else I can get you something.” I was looking at everything when I noticed her water. “Do you have enough ice? I can go get you some more if you want.” Slowly, I reached my hand out for her water but my hand was shaking too much and I couldn’t pick up the glass.

I looked at my hand, my eyes wide and I set it down on the table, taking a deep breath. I just wanted to calm myself down but I couldn’t. ‘What the hell are you doing?’ I asked myself. Honestly, I was acting like an idiot and I knew it was probably making Allison uncomfortable. She reached her hand over the table, taking mine in hers. “Scott.” She laughed to herself. “You don’t have to be so nervous. Just enjoy the food and relax. I would still love you even if this was a terrible date… and trust me, it’s not.”

It was so strange how Allison could make me so nervous, yet she was the only one who could calm me down. Just her voice could calm me down but her telling me she loved me – sort of—was what really calmed me. I just took a breath and ran my thumb along her hand. A slight smile escaped my lips and I nodded at her. She smiled back at me and let go of my hand starting to eat.

During the rest of the dinner we just talked about random things. I would occasionally remind her of how adorable she is and how I wanted to stay with her like this forever. She would blush every time I said something sweet and I loved it. It just made her ten times cuter (if that’s even possible). Just being able to sit there with her and talk was perfect. We had more time to catch up and more time to fall that much more in love with each other. It was almost like we had never broken up, like we hadn’t spent four months away from each other. Even though we had, it was okay because that didn’t matter anymore. All that mattered to me was Allison and the fact that we were there together.

When we finished eating, I cleaned up the kitchen. Allison asked me not to and said that she would since I had set everything up but there was no way in hell I would let her. Tonight was about her and I wasn’t about to make her clean up my mess.

I was leaning against the counter facing her when Allison walked up to me. She kissed me gently and my hands roamed to her waist as we kissed. Allison’s hands were wrapped around my neck and she was playing with my hair slightly. I could feel the smile growing on her face as she pulled back. I stuck my bottom lip out and pouted as she looked up at me. Allison closed her eyes and giggled, “I’m not letting you guilt trip me with that adorable face.” She said to me.

“B-but…” I pouted

I could see Allison shake her head and open her eyes. “You suck.” She said to me softly and then kissed my lips quickly. “But I’m still not giving in.” She grinned at me with an evil look, her dimples showing. I hated when she did things like that and I knew she was telling the truth. I would just have to find another way since my pouting wasn’t working. That’s when I got an idea.

“Fine.” I sighed and looked at her, taking her hand. “But you’re still going to come with me.”

“Come with you where?”

I shot a grin at her and then took her outside and we both got in Allison’s car. “Hey who said we could take my car and where are we going?” She asked laughing at me.

I shrugged and started the car. “You’ll just have to wait and see.” I grinned widely at her and started driving.
