The older looking lady in the office was obviously well aware of whom I was but seeing as everybody seemed to know everybody else here I stuck out like a sore thumb.

After lots of gushing about how happy she was that the Alpha had finally found his mate she gave me my new schedule and sent me on my way, now I see that Jake had not been joking about being in all my classes but I can’t say I’m to bothered I’m not sure I’m ready to be thrown to the wolves just yet, quite literally.

Jake has had his arm firmly around me since the moment we set foot in the building, people stop and stare quite blatantly at me which is making me feel like a fish in a bowl, now I know how the animals at the zoo feel.

The day started well, all my teachers are really nice and I’m beginning to feel a little more at ease, Jake has tried his best to help me feel settled and making sure nobody bothers me but I can’t help wonder if will ever find friends of my own when Jake refuses to let anybody get within ten meters of me, over protective much?

When lunch comes around Jake and his little crew lead the way to the dining room where hundreds of teenagers are queuing for lunch or mostly just fucking about trying to impress each other, this makes me smile a little to myself as it seems no matter where you are in the world lunch halls are all the same. Jake looks down at me and smiles brightly when I remember that he can hear what I’m thinking,

“See not as bad as you thought is it tiger?” He asks making me blush slightly at his use of my pet name.

And if I’m honest apart from the little incident in the parking lot this morning most of the morning has been ok, I mean yes I miss my friends and I don’t like thinking about all the girls in this school being with my man but it’s not much different to home.

This thought again earns me a look from Jake as he hears my thoughts about the girls in this school and I know from the flash of sadness in his eyes he hates himself for it. I release myself from his grip earning me a low growl but I brush him of thinking to myself (And him) that he can’t escort me to the bathroom even if he could I wouldn’t let him, Jesus some things just have to be private.

He smiles at me again before grabbing my arm and pulling me back to him taking me in his arms and whispering into my ear “Baby I would never let you out of my sight if I had the choice” and I know he means it.

He points to a doorway in the corner of the room and I head in that direction, knowing every set of eyes is on me, so much for blending in.

I find the bathroom with no problems and I’m relieved to find it empty I’m not sure I could face any more staring eyes right now and the day isn’t even over yet.

I’m just heading out of the bathroom when my wolf starts to howl something about Jake and I have this horrible feeling I really don’t want to step through those doors but my wolf seems to be controlling my feet making me step forward, I make it to the double doors that lead into the dining room and peek through the small round windows in the door.
