Chapter 12: Tell me that I'm not just a fool in love.....

Me: "You know you can tell me anything....So...what is it, whats going on with you?" He sighed again and got up. He paced around for a few seconds and spoke....

Jeff:.....

-End Recap-

Jeff: "........Beth umm....told me that before Ruby was conceived.......she cheated on me....We got an DNA test on Ruby and me....." He stopped. I looked at him with concern. I got up and turned him around to face me. I looked in his green eyes that reminded me sooo much of Sapphire. I saw that he was getting teary-eyed. I placed my hands on his cheeks and wiped away the tears that had started to come down.

Me: "Jeff....??......I-is Ruby yours....??" His got started to tear up again. He gulped and shook his head no. I stood there shocked. I can't believe Beth would do something like this to him. I can't believe ANYBODY could do something to like this to Jeff. He's such an amazing guy. When he loves someone he loves them hard. He protects them with all his might.

I sighed and wrapped my arms around his neck and he reacted by hugging my waist. I started to rock us from side to side while I allowed Jeff to cry on my shoulder.

Me: "Jeff, I am so sorry sweetie. Everythings going to be okay. You and Beth will work things out-"

Jeff: "We're getting a divorce..." He stated quietly. I was taken back by what he had said.

Me: "Ohh......I'm so sor-" I was cut off by Jeff's soft, sweet lips. I was shocked for a moment but soon kissed back. He placed his hands on my waist and I snuck my arms around his neck. As our lips moved in sync, I thought about all the good times me and Jeff have had. I also forgot how good of a kisser he was. The way he let you know how he feels everytime he kisses you, how his kisses are rough but passionate at the same time. Then I thought about Phil....

I opened my eyes and realized what I was doing. I quickly parted from Jeff and his lips only to have him grab my waist and pull me back closer to him. He rested his head on mine and sighed.

Jeff: "......I'm sorry about that....I just....I needed to know if what I was feeling was real....And it is.....Skylar.....I'm deeply in love with you.....I'm more in love with you than when we were together......Now I need to know....Tell me that you still love me...." He looked me in the eyes and I saw nothing but truth and love and lonliness and hurt and wanting.

Me: "Jeff......I-I care about you-"

Jeff: "Care..??! Tell me that you still love me..."

Me: "I-" Before I could respnd there was a knock on the door. I looked at Jeff and went to get the door. I looked through the peep hole and saw it was Phil. I wiped my face and straightened my clothes and opened the door. I smiled at the straight edge man that stood before me. He also smiled and gave me a hug.

Phil: "So..is this what you're wearing?" He asked slightly amused and confused.

Me: "Oh no haha, me and Jeff just got back not to long ago so I was about to get ready."

Phil: "Okay well good cause I need to go get ready to I was just checking on you...." I smiled. Phil gently takes my face and as he was about to kiss me I remembered Jeff...."I'm deeply in love with you...." Before it was to late I turned my head and Phil caught my cheek. He chuckled a little bit and released me.

Phil: "I'll get you back for that..." He said as he winked and continued his way out the door. After he left, I turned to Jeff who was now sitting on the couch. I went and sat by him. I looked at him but he didnt look at me. I grabbed his hand in mine and gave it a sqeeze.

Me: "Jeff....??...."

Jeff: "Do you know what it feels like to see someone you love, smiling and laughing with someone else, and knowing its not you thats the one making them smile or laugh...?? It feels like hell! It feels like the world has stopped, and I'm in an alternate universe. It feels like I'm getting my heart, ripped out of my chest!........I'm gonna go now.....See you when we leave for our plane, I'll pick you up at 8:30..."

He got up to leave but I got up and I grabbed his arm and pulled him back to me. I wrapped my arms aorund his neck and pulled him down to me and connected our lips. He instantly kissed back and his hands found my waist. Our lips continued to move in sync with each others as our tongues danced on the ballroom floor which was our mouths. Once I pulled away I gave him a little peck on his lips.

Me: "I still love you......"

WOOWZAAHH!! Jeff and Beth getting the big "D"....??!! (They're not in real life this is just a story!!) And Ruby isn't his....??!! Man what drama Skylar is about to go through!!
